To me Infra Versus Ultra exceeded all expectations. It was fairly obvious with Blue Screen Planet already that Wulf trespasses more into the spheres of creating more atmospheric sound and taking a step back from the rawness of Antagonist. This album is simply Neurotech in all its excellence.Wulf pushed the boundaries even further with this release and the result is simply spectacular. The grandeur Atlas, transcendental The Longest Time and catchy Transcendental are my personal top three, as well as the highly atmospheric (Infra)I, Versus (You), (Ultra) U. Absolutely brilliant. The vocoded vocals really add a special glimpse of glacial and astral feel to the sound and I don't miss the harsh vocals at all. I simply can't get enough of this album, have had it on repeat for days now.

You think darkness is your ally? You merely adopted the dark. I was born in it. Molded by it. I didn't see the light until I was a man. But it was nothing to me but blinding.

Hmmm... well I dunno. Everything after Antagonist has been a bit samesauce, and lacking punch. I also have some issues with the muddy production. A bit of polish would've done wonders to the overall sound. Miss the harsh growls too (and the contrast it could've brought to this one). Having said that, I'm never going to fault them for having that infectious catchy appeal. Still Neurotech, and I can get on board with that.

I do miss the harsh vocals, but the voice effects are more than enough to fill the void. Holy crap, this is bouncy and catchy and danceble as all hell, and downright beautiful at points, especially on The Longest Time and When The Night Falls.

Heavily reminds me of Mass Effect.

That's exactly what I thought when listening to "(Infra)" for the time.

I'm not ready to give my vote yet, however, personally I find the first half of the album much more enjoyable than the second half (except "When the Night Falls" which is brilliant). The first 5 songs I instantly found surprisingly good, but I get along much harder with the second half...

This reminds me of Kalisia a lot. Which is a good thing.

Not a bad album per se, but definitely middle of the road. One fallback is the lack of coherent lyrics, which admittedly is standard for many European artists choosing to sing in English but it really distracts from the music at times.

It's a shame because the actual composing isn't bad at all.

The first half of the album is really good, much better than the second one. I miss the harsh vocals, even though the clean vocals with all those effects sound decently. Not really the Wulf's best work, but it's a good album.

I got hooked! I rated 8 at the beginning but it is growing so well I'm putting a 9 acutally. One of the best release I listen this year and I'm not a fan of the genre. Clean vocals are well done and When the Night Falls is my "song of the year" so far. Headphones required to hear drum programming crush your head!

Catchy as fuck, hypnotic synths and vocals, albeit a bit inconsistent. I think this is also a step forward from the very generic 90's/00's industrial metal sound of the previous LPs. Infra, The Longest Time, and Transcendental are all awesome in different ways. I highly recommend this one. Favorite tracks: Unleashing the Dead, Transcendental.

Note: at time of this writing, you could "name your price" to download a digital copy from their bandcamp page. No excuse to mooch on this one. Get on that now.

One of his good attempts. Some pretty awesome tracks in the first half of the disc, the second was not so strong. Quality music for sure though, even for an industrial label.
