Just found the first 2 discs on Spotify. Skimming through it it sounds like something I'm definitely going to enjoy. The first disc seems to be primarily creepy, eerie drone and ambient; heavy but nuanced, whereas the second disc seems to be like like The Forbidden Planet soundtrack if it were done by Merzbow. Can't speak to the other 2 discs. Will have to track them down. Looking at the track title I'm guessing remixes of sorts. [turns out it's live recordings]

[edit]

Ok, apparently certain discs, the first 2 presumably, are designed to be played simultaneously as the first disc is all Boris and the second all Merzbow o.O not sure how that works. So this album is both a collaboration and not a collaboration, depending on how you decide to listen to it. Seems as though Boris's side is a percussionless reworking of older tracks, too. I thought "Huge" and "Vomitself" sounded familiar.
