This is the original version of the album? So the one that we all have is the rerecorded version? I dont know. Sounds like another cash grab

Wait... Nocturnal Supremacy was recorded (or composed?) on June '94 and Jared and Damien were already on the band... And acording to the info of MS JonKennedy is on bass who was fired before 1994. Are you sure is the 'original' TPOEMF line-up?

Here's a copy-paste from their Official Page:
Recorded at Birmingham's Zella Studios in the Spring of 1995, 'DUSK... AND HER EMBRACE - THE ORIGINAL SIN' saw CRADLE OF FILTH introduce Gothic elements to their extreme sound, focusing on decadent vampyric romanticism, death and loss, and forbidden love. However soon after recording the band split, half of the band forming The Blood Divine, and the remaining members made the collective decision at the time to not release a record that was not representative of the new line-up.

Now with the resurrection of Cacophonous, 'DUSK... AND HER EMBRACE - THE ORIGINAL SIN' will see the light of day. Re-mastered by Scott Atkins at Ipswich's Grindstone Studio, the record comprises of 10 studio album tracks, 2 bonus demo tracks and artwork by Drake Mefestta. Guest vocal appearances come from Cronos (Venom) and Steve Grimmett (Grim Reaper).

Well, yes, is the line up from their debut, so, i guess, the info here in MS is wrong. And nice to see Steve Grimmett here!

I added the line-up and took it from the post they made in Facebook on June 2nd, about the history of Dusk and her Embrace.

" First, let's go back to 1994. The Principle Of Evil Made Flesh was just released. Cradle of Filth was under a 2-album contract deal with Cacophonous records. Much of the material for their second album-to-be, Dusk And Her Embrace (ToSin), was already written and subsequently recorded in '95 at Magnum's Zella Studios in Birmingham.

Line-up: Dani Filth (vocals), Paul Ryan (guitar), Ben Ryan (keyboard), Paul Allender (guitar), Nick Barker (drums), Jon Kennedy (bass). Robin Graves didn't play bass for it, because he was working on his own project December Moon.

However, the band got into a legal dispute with their label Cacophonous. This became a lengthy court-case that lasted for the best part of a year. The agreement was eventually settled: Cradle would release another record on Cacophonous, V Empire, who would then cease the dispute. Next: half of the band gone, partly due to the fact that they could not see a foreseeable end to the dispute. The Ryan brothers and Paul Allender left the band to form The Blood Divine. Jon Kennedy went to Hecate Enthroned. Stuart and Damien were recruited to join the band during the Autumn and Robin came back after a few months."

For me, this release finally allows me to enjoy what everyone else has always referred to as a masterpiece.

I prefer the mix of this to the original, and I think Dani's vocals are MUCH more enjoyable on this release than the original. I know, not trve of me at all.

I don't listen to CoF much anymore, they were one of the first metal bands I got into ages ago. I think this is a cool release and listening to it made me felt like when I heard the first one almost 15 years ago! For sure a cash grab but it was worth it for me!

I do prefer the old album. But the new (original sin) bass sound kicks ass. Less crunchy and more clear.
