I adore everything about this album - the guitar sound, the riffs, the vocals etc... Distinctive sound in a watered-down genre.

^Yes, true for the most part. Really good album this.

Dunno, black metal is probably the least watered down of any subgenre, seeing as you can find just about every sound imaginable under that umbrella (and I wouldn't call this an atmos-black album by a long shot).

I think he may have been going for "oversaturated" but wrote "watered-down" somehow.

Turia are so goddamn good that their style is hard to pinpoint.

Actually I find them far simpler than most black metal bands; pretty clear old school sensibility going on, it's just they do it with such aplomb that it seems unique.

The old school simplicity is something they have in common with their label mates.
