Neo folk, acoustic album , I like neo folk, its better music as jump core and some more extreme screaming bands what are popular now and are in metal subgenres. This music has more spirit, more heathen heritage. Its like great Halgadopm, one BM, one neo folk album, sad that band is misuncertor for things what they are not.

Yeah this is really nice. A bit long for the style they're playing, however the last song made the journey worth it.

Masterpiece for those who can get into it.

The older I get, the more firmly I believe we should be wiped off the face of this planet sooner rather than later. We are nothing more than narcissistic parasites, destroying everything beautiful that surrounds us. Every single living thing on this planet would be so much better off without our presence. I am in such a misanthropic mood right now.

That tree was a legendary Northumberland landmark, I once had a spot of lunch under it when I walked along Hadrian's Wall years ago, and still remember it to this day. It was also known as the Robin Hood tree by locals because apparently it was featured in a scene on Robin Hood Prince Of Thieves with Morgan Freeman and Kevin Costner under it. I'm devastated that twat had to cut it down, and for what? So he could have a laugh and brag about it to his mates.

Anyway... this is a solid album. Dark folk can easily become (and tends to be) uninspiring and boring, but I like a lot of what this album brings, and the tracks manage to distinguish themselves from each other.

First of all, it seems you have not understood that Metal Storm is primarily a webzine for music and related issues. The previous posts refer to the album cover, which undoubtedly belongs to the topics that can and should be discussed on this site. However, there's no rape, murder, or war on the cover, so that part of your comment was completely irrelevant and uncalled-for.
Generally, I don't have a big problem with off-topic comments, but resorting to them just to discredit individual users or entire groups of people is a kind of behavior that is not acceptable in this forum.

It goes without saying that rape and war have immediate and profound impacts on human life, but environmental degradation and animal suffering also have far-reaching consequences, affecting ecosystems, climate stability, and ultimately human well-being in the long term. Without trees, plants, and animals, there would be no humans either. This is a very clear and simple causality that even small children understand.
You're implying that concern for trees and animals negates concern for human issues like murder and war. That is not true. Most people can care about multiple issues simultaneously, and addressing one doesn't invalidate the importance of the other. Yet, you suggest with your claim that those who posted before you would abhor the mentioned crimes against humanity less than the actions of an environmental offender or animal abuser.

That's a completely unfounded accusation bordering on defamation, and anyone for whom concepts like decency or respect hold value would be ashamed of it.

Yeah, you're right, I get worked up way too easily. Why should I even care if some stranger from the internet tries to defame other users with an off-topic rant? Also, I'm easily annoyed by the fact that it's always the same people who need to have the meaning of universally known manners explained to them. That is quite tiresome in the long run.

But may I now also issue a free character study for you? Because I find it very interesting that in two out of two posts, you have impressively demonstrated that your primary intent is to discredit people, regardless of what they have said or whether they have said anything at all. Actually, it's almost amusing that you pass judgment on me based on my posts in this thread. In case you still haven't grasped it: the comment you quoted was my very first post in this thread.

You downplayed the cutting down of a natural monument as an insignificant triviality in your first post, only to label the culprit as an idiot in your second comment. In other words, your first post was completely baseless, you've changed your stance as soon as your fabricated arguments have run dry, and you've pulled a total 180 that renders almost everything you've said absurd.
I mean, any individual of integrity accused of lacking decency and respect would have at least tried to dispel that accusation. Instead, your response consists solely of your own confusion and an abrupt volte-face, offering not the slightest hint of substance. That's just weak.

In conclusion, I'd like to give you some good advice: Insulting people without cause and trying to cover it up with further insults is a tactic that rarely leads to success. If that's your most effective argumentation technique, you might want to refrain from initiating controversial discussions in the future.


Apologies to the rest of the MS community for the lengthy off-topic comment. As mentioned before, I believe Metal Storm should primarily be a platform for discussing music and related topics.
