There's not much new here out of Chip, Lee, and company, but when their atypical, genre-bending formula has been working so well lately, what's really worth fixing? Here industrial, sludge, noise, and black metal influences combine yet again into a frightening yet oddly beautiful maelstrom. Ok really, mad props to Chrissy Wolpert and the Assembly Of Light in general. The Body have worked a lot with her/them on past albums and it's a partnership I just absolutely love. Such dark and resplendent vocals

The music is so good, really top notch industrial, but the banshee screams. Why. Everything works so well together and then that's just thrown in like an afterthought. It's like spending ages making an awesome cake then taking a dump on it at the end.

Once again, if it weren't for those awful vocals I would've probably moderately enjoyed this. Cannot remember another instance of the vocals single-handedly ruining the listening experience in the way they do with The Body.
