To me DM could stop exist, but in some was this is some kind a good album comming from US lately. Mid 9+'s early 90's was OK, but then that genre died to me, this band , Obituary somehow I still can listen , plus some Swedish bands. I lost interests in modern day extreme metal, just check old bands newest works if singles and blabbermouth videos are OK.

I agree, I feel extreme metal as a whole kind of lost the plot in the mid to late 90s. Bands changed their approach from making good, atmospheric music to music that is all about pushing the extremes. It seems the only good music coming out these days are either from veteran bands or newer bands that are using a throwback sound.

I would say black metal must not be labeled as extreme metal, it should be just BM, extreme must be DM, BDM, grind, core and other,
Today all is about more tatttoos, scream and who's jump higher, nit put good music, and werite proper song. BM still lives in the woods, because seems those people believe in BM idea what is alive and heathen, pagan thing. St. annic BM is same as DM, dead today.

I have bought all 3 albums that where for sale on Amazon:
Deicide: Overtures of Blasphemy
Krisiun: Scourge of the Enthroned
Monstrosity: The Passage of Existence
All I could say is I really miss the '80's and the '90's DM. Those days it was like really raw DM what most of us enjoyed by jumping and thrashing around. These days it is like there is someone in front and tell them how to make 'music'. But anyway from these 3 bands above I have to go with Deicide who still has a bit of rawness in their music. Second comes Krisiun and 3th comes in Monstrosity.

Dude you need to dig deeper. As for this album, it's typical Monstrosity which means is gooooooood.
