We seem to have similar tastes Theo, but this album isn't one of those. I actually thought this was really good... maybe not very original, but the style hasn't been done to death

I know what you mean, but there was too much going on for me. I didn't really like the vocals and the production on some synth and atmospheric passages sounded weird. I gave it a couple of tries but no riff or melody stuck with me.

I remember when Spellbound was released and feeling very hyped, but for some reason I must have forgotten to write a comment until now. I think it's really good album, way less experimental than their early stuff but still highly enjoyable. However, the production of this album is awful, the guitars especially sound way too muddy, but then again it's a prog death album so you can't always expect any big budget production quality.
