The Dutch black metal scene has developed a fine reputation for the overall quirkiness and experimental inclinations of many of its bands as of late. Look no farther than Laster for as good a demonstration of this trend as any.

This is some pretty great stuff here, it would appear that I've been sleeping on this band for a while. Very nice Ved Buens Ende influence all throughout and the bass is just sexy as fuck.

This is probably my favorite new thing since Tribulation's Children Of The Night. Some of it reminds me a lot of Opeth's first few albums, especially the ethereal cleans and the bass.

Wonderfully quirky and extremely creative. Those riffs alone blow my mind. And so different to same old BS. This album was a real breath of fresh air.
