Sounds like Alkaloid light and I mean that in a good way. Not as heavy or technical and the production is not quite as good as Alkaloid's, but hey, they play in a league of their own in all aspects of music making. With that said I must say that I really enjoy this album. The saxophone in Fundamental Dividing Principle is a fresh breath of air that fits very well in the song. A solid release worth digging into.

Alkaloid is a good comparison... This album reminds me a lot of Obscura's Omnivium, which is just about as good as tech death gets in my opinion. So I'll excuse something of a lack of originality (admittedly a common issue in a subgenre that I otherwise absolutely love) because it is executed so well here.
And ditto on the inclusion of the sax, which goes super well with more progressive and jazz-influenced styles of metal, whether it's Ihsahn or Solefald or these guys.

Anyone that likes technical death metal or melody-laden prog metal in general should probably give these guys a listen.

Great stuff. More on the Progressive side with a lot of Jazz influences, but still with Technical Death at heart. As previously stated, not the most original material, but pretty well executed and a great listen.
