Metal Rasputin

Another great overlooked thrash gem from the early 90's. In my opinion this is the direction mainstream thrash should and would have most likely taken if the genre hadn't completely lost steam at the time. The songs are complex and ridiculously well executed, but they don't feel like boring phony wannabe-smartass metal like some other similar albums did in the late 80's. These guys were talented, and it sure shows. It's all high quality thrashing awesomeness here, and if it wasn't for those goofy socially aware 90's lyrics this would be full 10 for me.

Rather good musically besides some of the tier 2-3 riffs and the slow boring intros in few of the songs -- could also say it suffers some what of the "And Justice for All syndrome", but it's not the worst case of it. The vocals lack power IMO; where is Nicole Lee? All in all, better than lots of 90s thrash.
