and strangely prophetic lyrics. "Death is not an Exit", "Silver", "Adora Vivos", "Finality", "Travelling Alone"... just, wow! Damn onions... I'm getting all teary.
And you people really think David Gold didn't end his own life?
He was actually hit by a car in a snow storm while walking down highway 400 in Barrie.

Actually most "highways" are two lanes, I walk on highway "509" all the time.
Sorry, but is it even allowed to walk ON highways inCanada? Here in The Netherlands you get arrested for it and fined.

Highways can be lots of things, usually it's illegal if its like a four lane.
I ride my dirtbike in the ditches and crossover the "highway" beside my house.

It is illegal to walk on highways in Canada including the highway that he was walking on. He definitely shouldn't have been walking there. I don't really understand why he would walk there since there are roads on either side of the highway that run parallel to highway 400.

Probably, but he could have hit the person and sverved, I don't know how many people died.
Either way he was an amazing musician and I will miss him forever.

Even though the news weren't specific, a number is almost always given in any accident (even those which are way worse than this one... This accident is actually very tame compared to many others) so I can easily bet he was the only one who died and I don't need to know that well the comparison between a car and a human in terms of pression endurance to take a bet on the question if he was inside or outside.

Walking down a highway seems suicidal to me.
Sounds like suicide to me, especially if you look into the lyrics of the "Alternate Ending" (the last song of the last Woods' album):
"In the darkness/under the stars/With enough warning/to pull off to the side in time..."
"Back On the highway/under the moon/my final moments..."
I'm not going to say it was undeniably suicide, but under the circumstances, timing, and messages like that it's fair to believe he committed suicide and had long decided how he was going to do it.

It's a shame really, he could have done so much more. I've had this feeling aswell, and I do think it was suicide.

I love this album, it's a shame they'll never release another one though
The song, "Silver" really speaks to me also.

Am actually suprised that even their canadiana stuff arent out of relevance for me.
I really love this aspect, he sings about places I've been and things I've lived. It's probably why I adore him and his music so much.
