Was just thinking that track 5 "The Uninvited" reminds me of someone else and then realised it sounds a bit like Tool. Has anyone else heard this similarity?

To be honest, even though I am an Alter Bridge fan, I couldn't listen to this when it first came out. Pretty sure it's because I simply wasn't in the mood for this style of music at the time. I've finally decided to give it a listen though, and holy damn... This one's powerful, and it's also the most metal album they've ever made. I guess Tremonti really enjoyed writing the kind of stuff he did for his solo project, and decided he wanted to write stuff like that for Alter Bridge, too. But I daresay, this is a bit better than the stuff he did for his solo project.

I came on this record 4th time this year. This for sure, not a watered down rock record to please the fans. Although, I castigated their one of the songs(2nd comment) 'cause they streamed the most weak track off this album. But, oh boy album is totally bonkers. Well written, nice guitar riffs, great bass and kit pounding and more importantly vocals which I think has shaped the album perfectly.

Track 04 is  I hate it! Apart from that mistake, it is a great album. Their best for sure.
