It has been stated many times that we're not about to feature every single metal band that has ever existed. Usually we only add already accomplished bands with at least one full-length release. Still, many bands escape our attention, so it's up to you to tell us which of them are the most worthy of being featured on Metal Storm.
Bands listed here are suggested for addition by our users. You can vote for these bands as well as provide additional comments - both of which will be taken into account when we look for the next band to feature on Metal Storm. If the band is not in the list, you can suggest it here (you need to be a registered member).
Make sure you also check the Blacklisted bands - these are the bands we're not going to add at all, since we feel they won't be appropriate for this website. Yes, some non-metal bands are already featured here, but that's not the reason to add a lot more - so we don't accept arguments like "hey, this band is way more metal than band X you have featured!".

The band features 3 members from Isis, another post metal band already on MS, and the vocalist of Deftones.
It is more post-like than Isis and not quite as heavy, but it definitely deserves a place on MS, as it is reminiscent of bands like AtomA.
I believe that a lot of fans of bands like Isis, AtomA, Enshine, Aoria and other bands in that vein of music will greatly appreciate this band.
29.06.2013 - SyFFiLiS
"Heavy, stargazing rock outfit Palms was forged out of an explosive collision, as Deftones vocalist Chino Moreno joined forces with critically-lauded post-metal group ISIS". This should be enough said to add this band on MS.
04.07.2013 - tea[m]ster
Album is fantastic, put it on here!
07.07.2013 - Unhealer
Liking this album more and more each listen!
28.07.2013 - psykometal
Didn't hear any metal in this at all when I listened.
03.10.2013 - 3rdWorld
-1. And i do agree with Mr.Database manager. There isn't any metal in this at all. No need to die to get it added in here, cuz this doesn't deserve a place here. Not to mention their really crappy and bland debut. Pfft. >:(
24.10.2013 - ScreamingSteelUS
I don't understand why people insist on associating post-rock with metal. There is no metal here.
29.12.2013 - Zaphod
Agreed, no reason to be on MS. Then again, they added Anneke Van Giersbergen just because she has been in metal bands...
24.05.2012 - The Benighted
Corelia are a burgeoning progressive/technical metal band with a single EP under their belts. With a sound not unlike Protest the Hero and The Human Abstract, they've come across some especially interesting ideas along the way, with a stunning selection of songs, to boot. 'Nostalgia' was released in 2011, and I've been listening ever since. Highly recommended.
09.09.2013 - LeKiwi
Not unlike Periphery's heavier moments...not bad
02.10.2013 - BaneConall
They are working on a full length now. Hopefully soon.
17.03.2014 - Dead In Hell
I have to say, the sound IS unlike Protest the Hero. The only way these bands sound alike is if you've never heard progressive metal before. Corelia is doing something entirely different, something that is much more amenable to fans of the genre and not just tweens taking a break from their Miley Cyrus playlists.
Anyway, Corelia deserves to be included on the site. Nostalgia is a phenomenal release that has garnered the band a lot of well-deserved attention and acclaim. If the upcoming album is of the same quality, it's going to take the genre by storm.
10.04.2013 - JefferyTotterdell
Great up and coming band, with a bit of reggae and Latin mixed in, which is groovy
First Ep of three albums and the progression is really good.
These types of bands have been doing really well lately.
But the music tells the real story so have a listen, a few live performances on YouTube.
27.03.2014 - Giza
Amazing Progressive/Alternative Metal band. Sounds like a mix of Meshuggah and Faith No More.
26.05.2014 - andreosokin
totally agree! should be added ASAP, I'll help with filling their page out
20.03.2009 - Yossarian
Info in English here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Los_Suaves
They should be here as Spain is a kind of important country as regards metal fans and this band is together with another 4 or 5 the most famous hard rock and rock band in the territory. Above all from Madrid northwards. They only reason why outsiders don't know them is the fact that they sing in Spanish. Otherwise, they would be popular enough for you.
Their music style is quite similar to The Ramones, Motorhead...The voice is let's say "peculiar". They are still active after 28 years and still selling out venues.
Their website appears to be in maintenance now.
02.06.2014 - Jujitsu-man
Can't believe they're not here. One of the most important hard rock bands in Spain.
09.06.2014 - Shankao
They are not only a Hard Rock band. They have several Heavy Metal songs.
27.01.2010 - ArcticWolf
Fastway are a British heavy metal band formed by guitarist, "Fast" Eddie Clarke, formerly of Motörhead, and bassist, Pete Way, formerly of UFO.
Don't think I need more reasons to explain why the band needs to be part of MS? Do You? I bet most of Motörhead and UFO fans are familiar with Fastway or know something about the band.
In addition, I am not able to find there official site, however I provided a link to there myspace page.
27.01.2010 - DayFly
AOR of the sticky, shmalzy kind
24.10.2013 - onedh
Fastway should be included in metalstorm.com ASAP. "Fast" Eddie Clarke delivers atrue amount of oldschool Heavy Metal. Also this band has been an influence for many other bands.
02.12.2009 - Bastard Child
London based and out to offend everyone. Featuring members of Damnas and Inner Rage River Frehney have terrorized the UK underground with their no holds bar offensive comedy and hardcore thrash. Have played with ArnoCorps, Ring Wrom and Evile, toured with Nebukadnezza and have a number of EP's released.
05.06.2013 - psykometal
Needs at least one full length.
24.03.2014 - Northern Danger
Psyko why? In metalstorm we have so many bands who have only EPs and splits. I think that's no condition....
12.06.2011 - SceneryOfLoss
Stamina is a french metal band founded by the keyboardist Gildas Vijay ROUSSEAU. In 2006 they released their debut album "Mess'Age" and currently work on the second album "Via Crucis".
30.12.2009 - drpaxton
This band is worth listening to to all who like heavy music. They play a very unique kind of music, you can call it alternative rock, or hard rock, with one the most talented lead singers out there.
15.03.2011 - WingedOctopi
Amazing band, fans of Tool should like this.
05.01.2012 - hadriel
This band needs to be added. Similar bands like dredg and Fair to Midland have been added to the site, rightfully so should these guys. Not to mention that their music is stellar! ;)
12.04.2012 - Nicoline
With 2,4 million listens registered on last.fm, this band cannot be ignored. I hope to read reviews and updates on Rishloo from MS in the future.

In the Autumn of 2008, CHAOS IN PARADISE started taking their first steps in a small garage in Oporto suburbs, where Alex and Quik began to outline the identity of the band.
After a few days, they started searching for other musicians to complete CHAOS IN PARADISE and after a while they found Pedro for guitar, 19 for bass and Sara for the vocal parts.
With the band as a whole, the quintet began writing their first Demo which came out in February 2010, including the songs "Dawn", "Heading North", "The Meaning of Being Imposed" and "Antagonized".
The band recorded the Demo at their own studio and released and distributed the four songs online for free!
After, CHAOS IN PARADISE began their live shows through Portugal, to promote their work and also to obtain experience as a band.
In the beginning of 2011, the band returned to the rehearsal room to start writing their following work, trying a new aproach to improve their sound, bringing their own identity to it and making it more coherent.
With the pre-production on the bagage, the recording sessions of the EP started in March 2011 at Soundvision Studios in Vila do Conde with Paulo Lopes in the co-production.
From the EP entitled "Let the Bliss Remain" the band released their first single "Awareness" to the fans and press, aquiring unanimous opinions expressing that their evolution and sound quality had a huge improvement.
With the "Let the Bliss Remain" presentation and release in June 2011, CHAOS IN PARADISE came back to the road to promote their EP in Portugal, having already some International shows in mind.
At the moment, they're planning to edit their first album in 2012.
28.07.2013 - psykometal
Needs at least one full length.
24.11.2013 - LeKiwi
Ugh those weak screams...a better vocalist would be a huge improvement.
03.03.2010 - FrostFlame
Slash's Snakepit was a rock band which was a side-project formed by then-Guns N' Roses lead guitarist Slash (Saul Hudson) in 1994. On their first album, Matt Sorum (drums), Gilby Clarke (rhythm guitar) and Dizzy Reed (keyboard) from Guns N' Roses played in this band. On bass was Mike Inez of Alice in Chains and Eric Dover (who had previously played guitar for Jellyfish) sang lead vocals.
GN'R colleague Teddy Andreadis also appeared on the record playing harmonica & keyboards.
03.03.2010 - DayFly
Honestly, this stuff has too much boogie to call it metal. Maybe if Aerosmith were here...
05.04.2013 - DarkSymphony500
Atmospheric/Doom Metal band with gothic influences. They get the influences from bands such as Draconian, Agalloch, Shape of Despair, Saturnus and Tristania. They have released 2 EPs and a full-length album 'Errances' (2012).
22.03.2014 - RavenV.
Exceptionally atmopsheric doom band. Hope they will be soon part of the database.
08.06.2011 - in GRAVE
they are a good progressive metal band and they are influenced in dream theater and symphony x
16.05.2012 - Oracles
There one of those hidden European Prog Metal bands that are from a country who produces little to zero good metal bands and they signed with an unknown record company that is making them go unnoticed. But if everything goes good, this band has immense future. Their major influence is Dream Theater.
Tree of Life ,
The Land of Lights.
All of which you can find on youtube.
05.12.2010 - Grave Digger 87
Lutomysl doesn't have a website or a myspace, so that myspace link is a fan page. They have a pritty intense heavy style, kind of depressive sometimes too. There is only 6 bands from Ukraine on MS! Thats gotta change, hehehe.
Edit: Lutomysl does have a myspace now, http://www.myspace.com/lutomyslofficial
27.12.2012 - LaineJ
Great band, one of my favourite bm band
24.02.2009 - warlock84
We are a young band trying to get our name out there and believe this site is a great tool to help with that. We are a true metal band, not that nu-metal or radio friendly junk. We all grew up listening to bands like Pantera, Slayer, Iced Earth, Testament, Kataklysm, Amon Amarth, etc and strive to bring back the old school heavy metal. We hope to record a demo this year and any press, good or bad, would be greatly appreciated.
05.01.2011 - Xim
Sin Dealer are a rock/metal band from Toronto Ontario Canada. The members all together have over 100 different releases, yet the band themselves only have one. They play a kind of old school sounding style, their idea is that they simply want to play music and not push towards any fads.
04.01.2011 - Marcelb7
Dutch stoner band from Eindhoven, the Netherlands. HUGE, epic riffs. They played from 1995 to 2000, when they split up. They released a 10" EP (which included an almost unrecognizable version of the classic disco hit "Hot Stuff") and a full album.
04.01.2011 - Easy772
They should be on here because even though it's Nu-Metal, it's still good music. I'll let you guys decide though. Check out their myspace or go on youtube and check out some of their stuff.
03.01.2011 - CrippledReverend
Majestic heavy power from Greece. These guys have their roots ddep in the 80's so expect a perfect blend of NWOBHM with pure US flaming steel. One of the best releases of 2010!
03.01.2011 - Fatum Aeternum
Fatum Aeternum exsist for over 4 years and has a steady fan base in Israel. The band members are: Steve Gershon bass\vocal, Evelyn Shor violin\vocal, Dan Yoffe guitar\vocal, Igor Sherman guitar, Mark Muzykant drums. The band had released "Dark Glamour" EP and a digital version of their full-length debut album "This Dream is Dead". More details and photos can be found on the official site http://www.fatum-aeternum.com
03.01.2011 - Marcelb7
More grindcore than your average crusty vegan punks, Electro Hippies included Jeff Walker, who wound up in a fairly unknown band called... Carcass!
They were signed to Peaceville Records (label of Autopsy, Darkthrone, Katatonia, and former label of Opeth, Cradle of Filth). One of their most notorious releases was the split 7" single they did with Napalm Death. Each side lasted almost a second!
03.01.2011 - Meller
Yes!!! Add this up!!! Electro Hippies were great, and I'm dying to get my crusty little fingers on a physical copy of their one and only full-lengt. The world needs a huge dose of Electro Hippies, straight in the face. A definite +1.
28.12.2010 - Nefarious
Progressive Metal band from Dan Swanö with new album "Reinventing the Past" released on Vic Records.
Added Country of origin in brakets in the band name as there is different band with same name already with a Metalstorm profile.
25.07.2013 - LeKiwi
Wankery for the most part imo.
25.12.2010 - DTranquillity
It's an awesome underrated band which is unique in terms of voices. Dual female voices and choirs are unique among the similar style bands and they have already released two successful full length albums which makes them a professional band. I am almost sure that featuring the band here will enable band to be checked out and discovered by many other metal fans.
31.12.2010 - ravendeath
This is awesome band. Thanx for suggestion!
24.12.2010 - Die Hacker [PT]
Skilled guitar player, good technique, 3 studio records and a live DVD so far, Gonçalo Pereira plays similar sound to Frank Zappa, Steve Vai or Yngwie Malmsteen. For instrumental guitar records lovers, this guy is a must. Highly recommended!
15.02.2013 - MrClansman1
I must agree with Die Hacker. Technically is really impressive guitarist. He released three full-length albums till now and there are really great works. Even he is not famous at all, I think a lot of people there could appreciate his works (mostly the fans of instrumental solo guitarist such as Satriani, Vai etc.).
22.12.2010 - Holy Man
Gave these guys' albums a couple listens, and they're metal as hell. Really good, tight style, good sound quality on the albums, I think they're quite worthy. Only problem I could see is that there are a ton of bands called Stormrider. These guys are the only Power Metal one from what I could find.
22.12.2010 - Grody2themax
Although they only released one album, the album Aspid released was very solid. They are almost unknown and I think that some people on here would enjoy listening to them and probably would never hear about them unless being exposed through Metal Storm.
30.12.2010 - Paradox0
I found it weird that the band named themselves after aspurgers. Kind of remind me of Death and slayer's love abortion.
21.12.2010 - Windrider
Damn I got their CD today in a store for one euro and was during the first listening like SHIIIIITTTTT...... What a great band!
Unfortunately, "Void Of Malice" from 1999 was their first and only album... They are split up, but the album still is wow! It's like atmospheric Black and Gothic Metal like in the first 2 albums of each Cradle Of Filth and Dimmu Borgir, mixed with Doom.
Im gonna maybe upload songs on youtube so you can see... In any case worth adding to MS!
22.12.2010 - Promonex
I've got the album myself. Not really wow in my opinion and I guess it would be a bitch to find reliable sources for lineup changes. +1 nonetheless.
