It has been stated many times that we're not about to feature every single metal band that has ever existed. Usually we only add already accomplished bands with at least one full-length release. Still, many bands escape our attention, so it's up to you to tell us which of them are the most worthy of being featured on Metal Storm.
Bands listed here are suggested for addition by our users. You can vote for these bands as well as provide additional comments - both of which will be taken into account when we look for the next band to feature on Metal Storm. If the band is not in the list, you can suggest it here (you need to be a registered member).
Make sure you also check the Blacklisted bands - these are the bands we're not going to add at all, since we feel they won't be appropriate for this website. Yes, some non-metal bands are already featured here, but that's not the reason to add a lot more - so we don't accept arguments like "hey, this band is way more metal than band X you have featured!".

In the Autumn of 2008, CHAOS IN PARADISE started taking their first steps in a small garage in Oporto suburbs, where Alex and Quik began to outline the identity of the band.
After a few days, they started searching for other musicians to complete CHAOS IN PARADISE and after a while they found Pedro for guitar, 19 for bass and Sara for the vocal parts.
With the band as a whole, the quintet began writing their first Demo which came out in February 2010, including the songs "Dawn", "Heading North", "The Meaning of Being Imposed" and "Antagonized".
The band recorded the Demo at their own studio and released and distributed the four songs online for free!
After, CHAOS IN PARADISE began their live shows through Portugal, to promote their work and also to obtain experience as a band.
In the beginning of 2011, the band returned to the rehearsal room to start writing their following work, trying a new aproach to improve their sound, bringing their own identity to it and making it more coherent.
With the pre-production on the bagage, the recording sessions of the EP started in March 2011 at Soundvision Studios in Vila do Conde with Paulo Lopes in the co-production.
From the EP entitled "Let the Bliss Remain" the band released their first single "Awareness" to the fans and press, aquiring unanimous opinions expressing that their evolution and sound quality had a huge improvement.
With the "Let the Bliss Remain" presentation and release in June 2011, CHAOS IN PARADISE came back to the road to promote their EP in Portugal, having already some International shows in mind.
At the moment, they're planning to edit their first album in 2012.

Needs at least one full length.

Ugh those weak screams...a better vocalist would be a huge improvement.

Side project of AAL frontman Tosin Abasi and members of The Mars Volta and Suicidal Tendencies. Not the most metal sound in the world, but there are clear metal undertones. Interesting art!
08.03.2012 - R'Vannith
Wouldn't call them djent but yeah interesting stuff.
31.03.2012 - João Pirucas
This is much more Jazz Fusion than Djent but it's awesome nonetheless. That connotation is there just because Tosin and Javier are part of the band, in my opinion. Good addition to the site anyways. +1

Great band with a great album (Lingua Franca), Terrazas, Reyes, Abasi & Moore, fresh sound, awesome performance and production with awesome drum works.

Insense deserves to be on Metal Storm because they are not much known outside of norway. Insense is a fantastic bands and should be heard by so many others than just norwegians that are interested in that kind of music.
The vocalist/guitarist Tommy Hjelm also plays with Benea Reach sometimes

It has been a while since being really blown away from a new discovery.
ProFusion is a bit hard to categorize, combining Progressive Metal riffs, Eclectic stuff a la Beardfish, and catchiness like, well... It just gets stuck in your mind and won't go away.
I've yet to have listened to their first album, but their second one (Rewotower) has really blown me away.
The first song of the album (Ghost House) is available on their Reverbnation page.

I'm just not impressed with bands like this these days...all this type of prog is the same. Sounds like watered down DT...

Ace Of Hearts is a "supergroup" with members of Secret Sphere, Icon & the Black Roses and Odd Dimension, his debut album "Monster" is a MUST for the fans of the genre!

It's kinda rare to see a band with old influences nowadays. And, to be honest, I think that what they say about rock'n'roll is true:
"ROCK'N'ROLL IS NOT ABOUT TECHNIQUES AND 32-NOTES-A-SECOND SOLOS, IT'S ABOUT TOUCHING PEOPLE WITH YOUR MUSIC".
18.04.2009 - Dr.Rock
It's kinda rare to see a band with old influences nowadays?
....uhhhh, which planet are you living on?

"Sår" (Sar) is a solo project in Depressive Suicidal Black Metal (DSBM) genre which started in 2008 by its only member "Don Andolini" in the north of Iran. The word "Sår" has been taken from one of the Sortsind's song titles with the same name, and it means "Wounds" in English.

This portuguese band is very good to be forgotten. This band is a project of José Costa (Sacred Sin). If You like Death or Cynic will be fan of this band. They released only one album (Vast) in 1995...
30.10.2011 - Die Hacker [PT]
Yes, 1995's ''Vast'' is a work of art! And they surely diserve to be here, aswell Sacred Sin too!
03.03.2011 - kelso775
They are possibly the best thrash band to emerge from the last few years, their debut album 'Thrashing' was frickin excellent and they definitely deserve more publicity. Their songs are really catchy, but that doesn't detract from the heaviness in any way. They have bone crushing riffs, pounding drum beats and face melting solos!!!
01.03.2011 - Rubengt
Vaciø is rocking since more than 10 years in Spain, with 2 studio albums, more than hundred of concerts and dozens of faithful fans :)
They play an interesting mix of rock-metal with heavy drums, sharp guitars and melodic voices
I think this band deserves to be on Metal Storm

Quaedt should be on Metal Storm because it's a good Metalband that deserves attention.
Quaedt has released a full length debut album on Iron Age Records in 2010, and played shows in Belgium and France, together with bands such as Ad Hominem(F/I), Azaghal(FIN), Nargaroth(D), Paragon Belial(D), Infinity(NL), Lugubre(NL), Natan(B), Gorath(B), Huldrefolk(B), Panchrysia(B), Aguynguerran(B), Bliss Of Flesh(F), Excruciate666(F), Natrach(B), ...
Saturday 5th of march Quaedt will play in Switzerland for the very first time, together with Totenmond(D) and Valborg(D). In may, Quaedt will play a local festival with Rotting Christ and a lot more.

Interesting band that is more than "just" progressive black metal....an impressive statement for the intensity music can evolve, created by a mind not bowing down to any stylistic restrictions ( : as is written on deadwebzine )

Awesome metal band with extensive discography needs to be added
05.03.2011 - Meller
Anyone enjoying old skool proto-grind and death metal should enjoy Blood Freak. If you're into old horo and exploitation movies, you're in for a double treat. Much support and love!+1

It is one of Denmark's best heavy metal/hard rock bands. The band have excited since 1987, and have established a pretty big fan base here in Denmark. With 9 awesome studio albums, and a few demo'es. The vocals and sound are usually crappy, but that is what make this band so good.
Their music is also good drinking-music, with lyrics that are catchy and fun sing-along. It's pretty hard to describe this band, you have to experience it!
07.07.2012 - neonxaos
Dumbest band alive, but they're so much fun!

Stahlhammer has released six (!) albums to date and is one of the most popular Austrian metal bands. There seems to be a a shortage of industrial metal bands on Metalstorm and they would definitely make for a great addition. If somebody listens to Rammstein, then Stahlhammer should be right up their street. And here's the bottom line http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jp_4Brm-H30

It's a project of two very well known musicians, Andre Andersen of Royal Hund and fantastic vocalistDavid Readman from Pink Cream 69. Well worth it, only one album, but it's great.
25.02.2011 - andreosokin
Totally agree! But I've already suggested André Andersen's solo page, where we can put that "Three" album
