It has been stated many times that we're not about to feature every single metal band that has ever existed. Usually we only add already accomplished bands with at least one full-length release. Still, many bands escape our attention, so it's up to you to tell us which of them are the most worthy of being featured on Metal Storm.
Bands listed here are suggested for addition by our users. You can vote for these bands as well as provide additional comments - both of which will be taken into account when we look for the next band to feature on Metal Storm. If the band is not in the list, you can suggest it here (you need to be a registered member).
Make sure you also check the Blacklisted bands - these are the bands we're not going to add at all, since we feel they won't be appropriate for this website. Yes, some non-metal bands are already featured here, but that's not the reason to add a lot more - so we don't accept arguments like "hey, this band is way more metal than band X you have featured!".

In the Autumn of 2008, CHAOS IN PARADISE started taking their first steps in a small garage in Oporto suburbs, where Alex and Quik began to outline the identity of the band.
After a few days, they started searching for other musicians to complete CHAOS IN PARADISE and after a while they found Pedro for guitar, 19 for bass and Sara for the vocal parts.
With the band as a whole, the quintet began writing their first Demo which came out in February 2010, including the songs "Dawn", "Heading North", "The Meaning of Being Imposed" and "Antagonized".
The band recorded the Demo at their own studio and released and distributed the four songs online for free!
After, CHAOS IN PARADISE began their live shows through Portugal, to promote their work and also to obtain experience as a band.
In the beginning of 2011, the band returned to the rehearsal room to start writing their following work, trying a new aproach to improve their sound, bringing their own identity to it and making it more coherent.
With the pre-production on the bagage, the recording sessions of the EP started in March 2011 at Soundvision Studios in Vila do Conde with Paulo Lopes in the co-production.
From the EP entitled "Let the Bliss Remain" the band released their first single "Awareness" to the fans and press, aquiring unanimous opinions expressing that their evolution and sound quality had a huge improvement.
With the "Let the Bliss Remain" presentation and release in June 2011, CHAOS IN PARADISE came back to the road to promote their EP in Portugal, having already some International shows in mind.
At the moment, they're planning to edit their first album in 2012.

Needs at least one full length.
24.11.2013 - LeKiwi
Ugh those weak screams...a better vocalist would be a huge improvement.
08.03.2012 - Kuroboshi
Side project of AAL frontman Tosin Abasi and members of The Mars Volta and Suicidal Tendencies. Not the most metal sound in the world, but there are clear metal undertones. Interesting art!
08.03.2012 - R'Vannith
Wouldn't call them djent but yeah interesting stuff.
31.03.2012 - João Pirucas
This is much more Jazz Fusion than Djent but it's awesome nonetheless. That connotation is there just because Tosin and Javier are part of the band, in my opinion. Good addition to the site anyways. +1

Great band with a great album (Lingua Franca), Terrazas, Reyes, Abasi & Moore, fresh sound, awesome performance and production with awesome drum works.

It has been a while since being really blown away from a new discovery.
ProFusion is a bit hard to categorize, combining Progressive Metal riffs, Eclectic stuff a la Beardfish, and catchiness like, well... It just gets stuck in your mind and won't go away.
I've yet to have listened to their first album, but their second one (Rewotower) has really blown me away.
The first song of the album (Ghost House) is available on their Reverbnation page.
25.07.2013 - LeKiwi
I'm just not impressed with bands like this these days...all this type of prog is the same. Sounds like watered down DT...
15.08.2014 - elt
very good...I also listened to a preview of their third album, really nice ...

Insense deserves to be on Metal Storm because they are not much known outside of norway. Insense is a fantastic bands and should be heard by so many others than just norwegians that are interested in that kind of music.
The vocalist/guitarist Tommy Hjelm also plays with Benea Reach sometimes

Ace Of Hearts is a "supergroup" with members of Secret Sphere, Icon & the Black Roses and Odd Dimension, his debut album "Monster" is a MUST for the fans of the genre!

It's kinda rare to see a band with old influences nowadays. And, to be honest, I think that what they say about rock'n'roll is true:
"ROCK'N'ROLL IS NOT ABOUT TECHNIQUES AND 32-NOTES-A-SECOND SOLOS, IT'S ABOUT TOUCHING PEOPLE WITH YOUR MUSIC".
18.04.2009 - Dr.Rock
It's kinda rare to see a band with old influences nowadays?
....uhhhh, which planet are you living on?

"Sår" (Sar) is a solo project in Depressive Suicidal Black Metal (DSBM) genre which started in 2008 by its only member "Don Andolini" in the north of Iran. The word "Sår" has been taken from one of the Sortsind's song titles with the same name, and it means "Wounds" in English.

Weird Anxiety is a Progressive dark metal band hailing from the Himalayas who are the pioneers of Himalayan black metal. Due to location problems and lack of distribution facilities in the region, the band feels that it's music is not able to reach its true audience.Platforms like metal storm bridge the gap.
09.03.2011 - Metalomorphis
Great music, I'm surprised by the musicianship O_o

The Seer features members of Australian Thrash royalty Mortal Sin. The band are preparing to release their debut EP "Prologue", which has already been given perfect reviews and praise from fans, promoters and venues. Certainly a band to look out for, The Seer are seeking to expand their network of friends to get the word out across the globe.
15.04.2014 - Moose
New full-length album kicks ass.
09.03.2011 - Kuroboshi
Thought it was kinda metalcore-ish. Nevertheless, interesting trash, nothing spectacular though.
27.03.2011 - ChrisSteele
Mathcore / Progressive Metalcore. Maybe that is the mix :P

New album "Sutra" out now in Denmark. Europe : May/June 2011. Incl former Hatesphere singer Jonathan Albrechtsen. Exciting stuff. Call it what you want. It's more than just "technical death thrash". Enjoy :)
and yes, there's some Meshuggah-influence to be heard...as well...

A bit more experimental than 'A Blaze...' ..... 'Sardonic Wrath' Darkthrone. Those songs in the myspace ain't the most experimental tracks, but give a good hint of their basic sound. Their Debut "Return To Sodom" was released in 2010.
06.03.2011 - The V.M.93
They are a great industrial metal band similar to Turmion Kätilöt with different members of important finnish metal bands as Zachary Hietala, Puijon Perkele, Hurja, Bishop Henrik and many mores...
22.02.2012 - Aeterna
Indeed, they're a great band and I'd like to be able to add them on MS.
24.03.2011 - Szelest
This band isn't on the list of Polish bands. Therefore, I thought it would be good to suggest their addition. They play and make music since 1989. Here's the promotional song for the new album Ghost Of The Universe - http://www.youtube.com/user/LamiastrataFC?feature=mhum # p/a/f/2/-hvdBGHntj8

This band exist since the early 90's, but after their split up they reformed in 2001. In 1994 they've released a cult album "Metropolis" and quite a lot of ep's. In 2004 they announced a new album, but still nothing...
30.07.2013 - Laze
A very energetic, thrash metal band with hints of alternative metal.
These guys have been touring quite extensively around the largest metal/rock festivals (e.g. Tuska Open Air) in Finland during this year. And the debut album ("Lifebound", released through SpineFarm) has received positive reviews, hence one might consider adding BRHG to MetalStorm.
04.03.2011 - Leos Hellscream

04.03.2011 - Metalomorphis
A very talented band from Quebec. As technical as any metal group in the vein of Children Of Bodom, they play a suomi-style melodeath. Their debut, "Beyond the Gates", is very professionnal, with a good production.
04.03.2011 - ViolentEveSt
Violent Eve is an extreme metal band born in Madrid thanks to the guitarist David Ramos (Skunk DF, Dreamaker) and the drummer Edu Brenes (Skunk DF, Jorge Salan, Ex-Terroristars) in 2009. It wasn't difficult to find a suitable vocalist and bass player in shaping the project, such as Zyrus (Distance, Kaothic), and Dani Fernandez (ex-Dark Moor, ex-Inntrance). Finally, Diego López (ex-Silver Fist) joined them as second guitarist to complete the band known in 2010 as Violent Eve. In the second quarter of 2010 the band recorded their first demo with four tracks and began to send it to labels. Soon they receive some offers, chosing Noisehead records and agreeing to record their first album in Austria. In October 2010 the band went to Austria to record their first album at the Noisehead studios. Eleven tracks complete the album called "Eleven Reasons to Kill", released in January 2011. This is just the beginning.....
03.03.2011 - Lampion
This portuguese band is very good to be forgotten. This band is a project of José Costa (Sacred Sin). If You like Death or Cynic will be fan of this band. They released only one album (Vast) in 1995...
30.10.2011 - Die Hacker [PT]
Yes, 1995's ''Vast'' is a work of art! And they surely diserve to be here, aswell Sacred Sin too!
