It has been stated many times that we're not about to feature every single metal band that has ever existed. Usually we only add already accomplished bands with at least one full-length release. Still, many bands escape our attention, so it's up to you to tell us which of them are the most worthy of being featured on Metal Storm.
Bands listed here are suggested for addition by our users. You can vote for these bands as well as provide additional comments - both of which will be taken into account when we look for the next band to feature on Metal Storm. If the band is not in the list, you can suggest it here (you need to be a registered member).
Make sure you also check the Blacklisted bands - these are the bands we're not going to add at all, since we feel they won't be appropriate for this website. Yes, some non-metal bands are already featured here, but that's not the reason to add a lot more - so we don't accept arguments like "hey, this band is way more metal than band X you have featured!".

Corelia are a burgeoning progressive/technical metal band with a single EP under their belts. With a sound not unlike Protest the Hero and The Human Abstract, they've come across some especially interesting ideas along the way, with a stunning selection of songs, to boot. 'Nostalgia' was released in 2011, and I've been listening ever since. Highly recommended.
09.09.2013 - LeKiwi
Not unlike Periphery's heavier moments...not bad
02.10.2013 - BaneConall
They are working on a full length now. Hopefully soon.
17.03.2014 - Dead In Hell
I have to say, the sound IS unlike Protest the Hero. The only way these bands sound alike is if you've never heard progressive metal before. Corelia is doing something entirely different, something that is much more amenable to fans of the genre and not just tweens taking a break from their Miley Cyrus playlists.
Anyway, Corelia deserves to be included on the site. Nostalgia is a phenomenal release that has garnered the band a lot of well-deserved attention and acclaim. If the upcoming album is of the same quality, it's going to take the genre by storm.

They should be here as Spain is a kind of important country as regards metal fans and this band is together with another 4 or 5 the most famous hard rock and rock band in the territory. Above all from Madrid northwards. They only reason why outsiders don't know them is the fact that they sing in Spanish. Otherwise, they would be popular enough for you.
Their music style is quite similar to The Ramones, Motorhead...The voice is let's say "peculiar". They are still active after 28 years and still selling out venues.
Their website appears to be in maintenance now.
02.06.2014 - Jujitsu-man
Can't believe they're not here. One of the most important hard rock bands in Spain.
09.06.2014 - Shankao
They are not only a Hard Rock band. They have several Heavy Metal songs.
27.01.2010 - ArcticWolf
Fastway are a British heavy metal band formed by guitarist, "Fast" Eddie Clarke, formerly of Motörhead, and bassist, Pete Way, formerly of UFO.
Don't think I need more reasons to explain why the band needs to be part of MS? Do You? I bet most of Motörhead and UFO fans are familiar with Fastway or know something about the band.
In addition, I am not able to find there official site, however I provided a link to there myspace page.
27.01.2010 - DayFly
AOR of the sticky, shmalzy kind
24.10.2013 - onedh
Fastway should be included in metalstorm.com ASAP. "Fast" Eddie Clarke delivers atrue amount of oldschool Heavy Metal. Also this band has been an influence for many other bands.
02.12.2009 - Bastard Child
London based and out to offend everyone. Featuring members of Damnas and Inner Rage River Frehney have terrorized the UK underground with their no holds bar offensive comedy and hardcore thrash. Have played with ArnoCorps, Ring Wrom and Evile, toured with Nebukadnezza and have a number of EP's released.
05.06.2013 - psykometal
Needs at least one full length.
24.03.2014 - Northern Danger
Psyko why? In metalstorm we have so many bands who have only EPs and splits. I think that's no condition....
12.06.2011 - SceneryOfLoss
Stamina is a french metal band founded by the keyboardist Gildas Vijay ROUSSEAU. In 2006 they released their debut album "Mess'Age" and currently work on the second album "Via Crucis".
03.03.2010 - FrostFlame
Slash's Snakepit was a rock band which was a side-project formed by then-Guns N' Roses lead guitarist Slash (Saul Hudson) in 1994. On their first album, Matt Sorum (drums), Gilby Clarke (rhythm guitar) and Dizzy Reed (keyboard) from Guns N' Roses played in this band. On bass was Mike Inez of Alice in Chains and Eric Dover (who had previously played guitar for Jellyfish) sang lead vocals.
GN'R colleague Teddy Andreadis also appeared on the record playing harmonica & keyboards.
03.03.2010 - DayFly
Honestly, this stuff has too much boogie to call it metal. Maybe if Aerosmith were here...

In the Autumn of 2008, CHAOS IN PARADISE started taking their first steps in a small garage in Oporto suburbs, where Alex and Quik began to outline the identity of the band.
After a few days, they started searching for other musicians to complete CHAOS IN PARADISE and after a while they found Pedro for guitar, 19 for bass and Sara for the vocal parts.
With the band as a whole, the quintet began writing their first Demo which came out in February 2010, including the songs "Dawn", "Heading North", "The Meaning of Being Imposed" and "Antagonized".
The band recorded the Demo at their own studio and released and distributed the four songs online for free!
After, CHAOS IN PARADISE began their live shows through Portugal, to promote their work and also to obtain experience as a band.
In the beginning of 2011, the band returned to the rehearsal room to start writing their following work, trying a new aproach to improve their sound, bringing their own identity to it and making it more coherent.
With the pre-production on the bagage, the recording sessions of the EP started in March 2011 at Soundvision Studios in Vila do Conde with Paulo Lopes in the co-production.
From the EP entitled "Let the Bliss Remain" the band released their first single "Awareness" to the fans and press, aquiring unanimous opinions expressing that their evolution and sound quality had a huge improvement.
With the "Let the Bliss Remain" presentation and release in June 2011, CHAOS IN PARADISE came back to the road to promote their EP in Portugal, having already some International shows in mind.
At the moment, they're planning to edit their first album in 2012.
28.07.2013 - psykometal
Needs at least one full length.
24.11.2013 - LeKiwi
Ugh those weak screams...a better vocalist would be a huge improvement.
02.05.2012 - gabrielsanctus
Ace Of Hearts is a "supergroup" with members of Secret Sphere, Icon & the Black Roses and Odd Dimension, his debut album "Monster" is a MUST for the fans of the genre!
08.03.2012 - Kuroboshi
Side project of AAL frontman Tosin Abasi and members of The Mars Volta and Suicidal Tendencies. Not the most metal sound in the world, but there are clear metal undertones. Interesting art!
08.03.2012 - R'Vannith
Wouldn't call them djent but yeah interesting stuff.
31.03.2012 - João Pirucas
This is much more Jazz Fusion than Djent but it's awesome nonetheless. That connotation is there just because Tosin and Javier are part of the band, in my opinion. Good addition to the site anyways. +1
27.03.2014 - Mehdi Taba
Great band with a great album (Lingua Franca), Terrazas, Reyes, Abasi & Moore, fresh sound, awesome performance and production with awesome drum works.
14.10.2009 - artah
"Sår" (Sar) is a solo project in Depressive Suicidal Black Metal (DSBM) genre which started in 2008 by its only member "Don Andolini" in the north of Iran. The word "Sår" has been taken from one of the Sortsind's song titles with the same name, and it means "Wounds" in English.
22.07.2009 - Wildchild-91
Insense deserves to be on Metal Storm because they are not much known outside of norway. Insense is a fantastic bands and should be heard by so many others than just norwegians that are interested in that kind of music.
The vocalist/guitarist Tommy Hjelm also plays with Benea Reach sometimes
10.04.2009 - Hunter'sMoon
It's kinda rare to see a band with old influences nowadays. And, to be honest, I think that what they say about rock'n'roll is true:
"ROCK'N'ROLL IS NOT ABOUT TECHNIQUES AND 32-NOTES-A-SECOND SOLOS, IT'S ABOUT TOUCHING PEOPLE WITH YOUR MUSIC".
18.04.2009 - Dr.Rock
It's kinda rare to see a band with old influences nowadays?
....uhhhh, which planet are you living on?
30.10.2010 - enanox
Vardogr is one of the most remarkable bands in the Uruguayan under metal scene, they already has a recorded EP and a full album is coming. Also they are one of the few black metal bands in activity in Uruguay.
28.10.2010 - VezzyRattlehead
So, these guys were actually a band called Vomit formed in 1985 in Norway and played death/thrash metal who had four publicly leaked/released rehearsals (interestingly, one of them was sold in Euronymous' Helvete record store without the band's knowledge, even though Euronymous was known for his hatred of death metal) and a demo called "Rotting in Hell". Two of the members also played in Mayhem in 1988 (Kittil Kittilsen and Torben Grue). Now a cult band.
The band later morphed into a punk rock outfit, whereas parts of it later reformed in 1996 as Kvikksølvguttene and released an EP and a full-length before calling it quits, (permanently?) ending the project.
28.10.2010 - ravendeath
This is a classic goth band originaly formed by Anne Nurmi (now Lacrimosa) in 1987. Still working and should be featured in MS, at least like an invisible band. Great history behind them.
26.10.2010 - dunskii
amazing band, saw them at gramercy multiple times and at each show they kick ass
i feel that they will personally go a really long way through the metal world because they sound great and just play a great show
27.10.2010 - Impeckable
+1 because most of the band members are from Suspyre. Sounds really good too.
25.10.2010 - Nikkola88
they plays differently than most of demo bands. they recorded "the ep" wwhich contains 6 songs and during november they will record their first album. all of the band is experienced musicians.
23.10.2010 - sbs1007\m/!
Hello mates, well AndrOmedA or just Andromeda is one of the best bands from Guatemala. They sound similar to Sonata Arctica (of course Sonata is better) but they are also power metal. The main vocalist Adrian Mendez has a great voice and their music as a group sounds great.
Their music is in Spanish just as many other bands like Mago de Oz, WarCry, Saratoga, etc. Their music is in Spanish either and for some people who don't speak Spanish their music sound extremely great!
My favorite song by them is also called AndrOmedA. !
They have 4 studio albums (One of them is acoustic), 2 singles, 1 demo, 2 DVDs (One of them acoustic).
Try listening to them and I'm sure you will find them pretty good!!
I have here some other source that may be useful for you to know more about them.
I think they should be considered and it is also an opportunity for them to be the first Guatemalan band to be in this site.
Well let me know what you think about them and I hope we can see them on this great site very soon!
Keep it up with the site!
23.10.2010 - patrickmetal12
Powerful music indeed.
needs to be added!
24.10.2010 - Saintain
this should be added, is a very real and powerful guatemalan power metal. In live, this dudes are amazing. I have seen them 2 times live and they are exelent.! i recommend this band to every metalhead from the world, ull not regret (:
23.10.2010 - Array
I'm not sure how official that myspace site is, but there's still Cultus Sanguine stuff (no songs). Why MS? The Sum of All Fears is nice album. Band's sound is not that far from Deinonychus' one, only this time there's more keyboard going on (what seems to be Italy's perversion in metal).
Founded: 1992 or 1993
Official Rehearsal Demo, 1994
Cultus Sanguine EP, 1995
Promo 1996 Demo, 1996
Shadows' Blood Full-length, 1997
The Sum of All Fears Full-length, 1999
War Vol. III Split with Seth (France), 2000
Link to my favorite song of these guys:
22.10.2010 - Bigpaul
Really really good band. Think God Is An Astronaut but more atmospheric. They tend to utilise the slow mellow build to a wall of sound crescendo song structure on a fair few of their tunes. Perfect for chilling out when your hangover dictates that The Monolith Deathcult isn't the way to go!:)
28.10.2010 - munson
Meh. I'm not going to vote for this, there are a million and one other post-rock bands I'd rather see get here. Capsian, Irepress, etc. Also, these guys aren't really metal at all.
20.10.2010 - ROKKAR
ANGELS OF BABYLON is the answer to your heavy metal supergroup prayers. This new amalgamation of epic sound features former MANOWAR drummer Rhino, Arizona based power-metal vocalist David Fefolt, guitarist Ethan Brosh and MEGADETH bassist David Ellefson.
19.10.2010 - Impeckable
Now split-up this outstanding band released 4 studio albums, the latter two featuring the vocals of Chitral "Chity" Somapala, known for his work with other bands such as Firewind, Red Circuit and currently Power Quest. Their last album 'Eurasia', released in 2000, is a brilliant and unique blend of Progressive Metal with a melodic 'Eastern' vibe. Highly recommended for fans of bands like Angra, and an essential addition to MS in my opinion.
20.10.2010 - MeTalRea|istiK
yeah!!somapala hv a very good reputation..love him since he's in firewind!!
09.10.2013 - Baribal
"Eurasia" is a hidden classic and "Mystic Places" is also a great album.
19.10.2010 - ruffio
Formed by James Read and C. Ross of Axis of Advance along with Nemtheanga of Primordial. These guys play 'militant' extreme black/death metal. There's no lack of originality to this band and they combine a sense of raw chaos into every carefully structured songs.
19.10.2010 - Array
I don't really like their every song, but for example the track Armoton (=Merciless) has that much balls on it, that I decided to suggest the band and see how it goes. The band's sound is not that far from Mokoma's Kurimus or the two followed album, but is way more better than those new radio-sucking products.
18.10.2010 - DarkSymphony500
AYTHIS is the solo project of Carline Van Roos, founder member of the doom-metal bands 'Lethian Dreams' and 'Remembrance'.
Aythis unique harmonies are created by the alchemy of depressive keyboard atmospheres, haunting and hypnotic melodies, ethereal voice and dark orchestral drums. The lyrics theme explores mostly isolation, melancholy, dreams, life and death.
17.10.2010 - eXistenZ
This band should be here, because it is the second Halford's band after he left Judas Priest. I'm not saying it is a great band, and they had only one pretty average album, but i think it should be noted here, on the biggest metal bands database.
One thing - i have found on Wikipedia, that it actually is "2wo" not "two", so in the Rob Halford's bio is a little mistake.
I also know that Wikipedia link is not their official website, but they don't have one. And i have checked MySpace too...
18.10.2010 - Spenku
This band is also notable because, John 5 (of Marilyn Manson & Rob Zombie) co-wrote most of the songs, and played guitar on every track. The album was produced by Trent Reznor, and released on his label, Nothing Records.
18.10.2010 - Xim
Yeah, sure. I've heard some of the tracks and it's okay, not terrible.
06.01.2013 - sentinel65
The fact that John 5 and Halford, the metal god, are in this band should be enough reason for them to be in the database.
17.10.2010 - Meller
Although Botch is dead and gone, there's still some relevant bands pushing out from the US in their field. Here's one of them, signed with Relapse and recently released their full-length debute. That and one EP behind, Hero Destroyed delivers uncompromised, twitching Metalcore bound to punch some teeth in.
17.10.2010 - Meller
This is the stuff that Metalcore is really made of. This is the stuff that also gave spark to bands such as The Dillinger Escape Plan, and belong in the same starting movement as Coalesce. This was what later was dubbed 'Mathcore' before that very annoying term was coined. Step into some chaotic riffing and angry beats that still have frightening purpose and set goal in it's frantic twitching. Botch didn't last long, but was definitely an important corner stone with their unique style.
18.01.2011 - Sonic MrSumo
We Are The Romans is an outstanding album. These guys are certainly worthy of being on Metalstorm. Not sure if I'd class them as Metalcore...more Mathcore for mine.
15.10.2010 - torwar
This band's debut album is a minor sensation imo. Put in an extremely short way it's an exciting mixture of black metal and Opeth. There' s currently neither a homepage nor a myspace site, but Morowe can be found and listened to via their label Witching Hour Productions. Name of the album is Pieklo. Labirynty. Diably ( : Hell, Labyrints, Devils ) . You may easily google your way to a few interesting reviews in English on the web.
