It has been stated many times that we're not about to feature every single metal band that has ever existed. Usually we only add already accomplished bands with at least one full-length release. Still, many bands escape our attention, so it's up to you to tell us which of them are the most worthy of being featured on Metal Storm.
Bands listed here are suggested for addition by our users. You can vote for these bands as well as provide additional comments - both of which will be taken into account when we look for the next band to feature on Metal Storm. If the band is not in the list, you can suggest it here (you need to be a registered member).
Make sure you also check the Blacklisted bands - these are the bands we're not going to add at all, since we feel they won't be appropriate for this website. Yes, some non-metal bands are already featured here, but that's not the reason to add a lot more - so we don't accept arguments like "hey, this band is way more metal than band X you have featured!".

In the Autumn of 2008, CHAOS IN PARADISE started taking their first steps in a small garage in Oporto suburbs, where Alex and Quik began to outline the identity of the band.
After a few days, they started searching for other musicians to complete CHAOS IN PARADISE and after a while they found Pedro for guitar, 19 for bass and Sara for the vocal parts.
With the band as a whole, the quintet began writing their first Demo which came out in February 2010, including the songs "Dawn", "Heading North", "The Meaning of Being Imposed" and "Antagonized".
The band recorded the Demo at their own studio and released and distributed the four songs online for free!
After, CHAOS IN PARADISE began their live shows through Portugal, to promote their work and also to obtain experience as a band.
In the beginning of 2011, the band returned to the rehearsal room to start writing their following work, trying a new aproach to improve their sound, bringing their own identity to it and making it more coherent.
With the pre-production on the bagage, the recording sessions of the EP started in March 2011 at Soundvision Studios in Vila do Conde with Paulo Lopes in the co-production.
From the EP entitled "Let the Bliss Remain" the band released their first single "Awareness" to the fans and press, aquiring unanimous opinions expressing that their evolution and sound quality had a huge improvement.
With the "Let the Bliss Remain" presentation and release in June 2011, CHAOS IN PARADISE came back to the road to promote their EP in Portugal, having already some International shows in mind.
At the moment, they're planning to edit their first album in 2012.

Needs at least one full length.
24.11.2013 - LeKiwi
Ugh those weak screams...a better vocalist would be a huge improvement.
08.03.2012 - Kuroboshi
Side project of AAL frontman Tosin Abasi and members of The Mars Volta and Suicidal Tendencies. Not the most metal sound in the world, but there are clear metal undertones. Interesting art!
08.03.2012 - R'Vannith
Wouldn't call them djent but yeah interesting stuff.
31.03.2012 - João Pirucas
This is much more Jazz Fusion than Djent but it's awesome nonetheless. That connotation is there just because Tosin and Javier are part of the band, in my opinion. Good addition to the site anyways. +1

Great band with a great album (Lingua Franca), Terrazas, Reyes, Abasi & Moore, fresh sound, awesome performance and production with awesome drum works.

Insense deserves to be on Metal Storm because they are not much known outside of norway. Insense is a fantastic bands and should be heard by so many others than just norwegians that are interested in that kind of music.
The vocalist/guitarist Tommy Hjelm also plays with Benea Reach sometimes

It has been a while since being really blown away from a new discovery.
ProFusion is a bit hard to categorize, combining Progressive Metal riffs, Eclectic stuff a la Beardfish, and catchiness like, well... It just gets stuck in your mind and won't go away.
I've yet to have listened to their first album, but their second one (Rewotower) has really blown me away.
The first song of the album (Ghost House) is available on their Reverbnation page.
25.07.2013 - LeKiwi
I'm just not impressed with bands like this these days...all this type of prog is the same. Sounds like watered down DT...
15.08.2014 - elt
very good...I also listened to a preview of their third album, really nice ...

Ace Of Hearts is a "supergroup" with members of Secret Sphere, Icon & the Black Roses and Odd Dimension, his debut album "Monster" is a MUST for the fans of the genre!

It's kinda rare to see a band with old influences nowadays. And, to be honest, I think that what they say about rock'n'roll is true:
"ROCK'N'ROLL IS NOT ABOUT TECHNIQUES AND 32-NOTES-A-SECOND SOLOS, IT'S ABOUT TOUCHING PEOPLE WITH YOUR MUSIC".
18.04.2009 - Dr.Rock
It's kinda rare to see a band with old influences nowadays?
....uhhhh, which planet are you living on?

"Sår" (Sar) is a solo project in Depressive Suicidal Black Metal (DSBM) genre which started in 2008 by its only member "Don Andolini" in the north of Iran. The word "Sår" has been taken from one of the Sortsind's song titles with the same name, and it means "Wounds" in English.

Stahlhammer has released six (!) albums to date and is one of the most popular Austrian metal bands. There seems to be a a shortage of industrial metal bands on Metalstorm and they would definitely make for a great addition. If somebody listens to Rammstein, then Stahlhammer should be right up their street. And here's the bottom line http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jp_4Brm-H30

KillMatriarch is an electro-industrial band formed in early 2010 by Matriarch,Ontronik(former vocalist of The Apex Theory & drummer of System of a Down), and Drew K. The band has quickly surged onto the L.A. music scene since the steady release of songs from their debut EP ::Order through Chaos::. They have received front page features onPurevolume.com, Buzznet.com, AbsolutePunk.net, & VampireFreaks.com.
KillMatriarch fans have positively compared the overall style and energy of the band to such inventive groups as Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, The Prodigy and Shiny Toy Guns. Their music has received industry buzz as well as being featured on the A&R websiteDailyUnsigned.com. KillMatriarch is focused on taking their energetic live performance worldwide; their first show was to a packed house at L.A.'s famous Viper Room.

It's a project of two very well known musicians, Andre Andersen of Royal Hund and fantastic vocalistDavid Readman from Pink Cream 69. Well worth it, only one album, but it's great.
25.02.2011 - andreosokin
Totally agree! But I've already suggested André Andersen's solo page, where we can put that "Three" album
24.02.2011 - hollci
The band started in 1994/95 under the name Frost, and they released 4 song rehearsal-demo called "Darkness Will be Eternal" in 1995. The music was much more primitive and raw back then. They changed their name to Angmar in 1997. The name is taken from Tolkien's Lord of the Rings: The realm of the Witch-king (the Lord of the Nazgûl) in the far north of the Misty Mountains; Meaning: Probably 'Land (literally 'home') of Iron', but 'Land of Oppression' is a less likely alternative.
24.02.2011 - munson
These dudes have been around forever. They did a split with Mastodon back in 2003. They have killer new record out March 1 on Translation Loss records. They've put in their dues and make some great metal jams.
08.12.2011 - 3rdWorldFuckface
Sedentary is awesome. These guys shud b added here

Bodine was one of Holland's best heavy rock/metalbands. Unfortunately they've split up long time ago and their three albums are difficult to get. The website I filled in on the form is a fansite, but really worthwile as it has lots of information on the band.
Their first album was released in 1981 and is basically hardrock. The next two albums, released in 1982 and 1983, were classic metalalbums. In 1996 these three albums were released on two cd's, distributed by Pseudonym Records.
Arjen Lucassen, who later changed his name to Ayreon and made several well known symphonic rock albums, was one of the guitarplayers in Bodine.
23.02.2011 - Vargsmal
Well, this is an interesting band, either like it or not... the main thing is that they landed a deal with Season of Mist, who are giving away a free digital download of their latest EP. Check it out
14.04.2011 - Bigpaul
The Pantera worship is a little too much!
23.02.2011 - Bigpaul
Top notch sludge/stoner band headed by Matt Pike(Sleep/High On Fire) with members of Econochrist, Grimple, Samiam, Medication Time and Cruevo. They have released 1 Full length so far and are apparently in discussions on a followup. Have a listen!
22.02.2011 - Raven Lederer
Hugin Munin should be featured on Metal Storm because they are a great representation of Brazilian death metal with Viking metal influences. Hugin Munin is becoming very popular on the Sao Paulo metal scene and has gained a number of fans worldwide the past couple of years. If there's anything else you'd like to know, please feel free to contact me since I'm their agent.
22.02.2011 - emerson
This three piece from Detroit, MI is a grindy, doomy, sludgy mess that does not care about much of anything. Whether it's trends in metal, how to look, or what your "sound" is; Nurse Ratched just wants to destroy. With songs about the misfortunes of celebrities to tearing down faith-based con artists, Nurse Ratched is a fat kid running to dinner and the world is in the way.
22.02.2011 - metalbandi
A good, young, energetic band in the not so big scene of Hungarian Progressive Metal. Also quite unique with impacts ranging from Pop Rock through Prog to Gothenburg Death Metal.
21.02.2011 - EachFootFalls
Rising young band from middle of Finland formed with heavy, melodic and emotional sound with scream vocals. Each Foot Falls is a group of talented musicians who wants to get their name known and have some feedback. New stuff is coming all the time and it's getting better and better. Each Foot Falls have released one demo album called Silence Inside Us. It includes technical guitar and drum stuff and nice melodies + brutal breakdowns. THANKS !

Sacred Legacy is the one of the two bands that is signed to a label in Maldives. they have currently signed to STF RECORDS Germany and starting their tour in Europe and south Africa. they have released 2 albums and working on their 3rd album "THE LEGACY BEGINS" and now they been sponsored by Coca cola Company and Wataniya telecoms Maldives and endorsed by Maldivian National tv..and sacred legacy is the headlining band in most of the metal shows in Maldives and the guitarist shahyd legacy is the only solo guitar artist there..so hope metal storm like this unique band from Maldives

I saw their vid "Hats Made of Veal" some years ago. I haven't seen or heard it for months and months and months but I think it's in my head right now... no idea why... Apparently they have at least one more I haven't seen, and two albums released over the last 5-10 years
18.02.2011 - Promonex
They aren't in the database yet?! Holy shit! Vote this shit up! I'll accept it by the end of the week.
18.02.2011 - Axe Argonian
I am completely in favor of this suggestion, for Sludge bands never disappoint me. Their sound reminds me of the Georgia sludge scene, yet the Abominable Iron Sloth are from Washington and California! Go figure.
18.02.2011 - Meller
Sludge for people with ADD... and such a promising band with two strong full lengths to prove their worth. Yeah, do add it!
20.02.2011 - Oriôn
Because this is imo a talented band, they brought out 1 album and the next one will come soon.
It would be nice having them here so people from outside Belgium might bump onto them and discover this nice sound they have.
Also they bring a really good live act and they already played at a big metal festival as "Graspop metal Meeting"
16.02.2011 - gaud2029
I think it's their first full length, they are just starting.
the reason why it should be on metalstorm is because there are some killer riff in that free album they give, that only should be a good reason!
ps : not sure about the style name ..
13.12.2011 - Dargor
This band clearly has its place here and it would help them gain more popularity.
15.02.2011 - Novas
www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=7114.....Theyve been around since 1996 and they have like 4 albums, loads of split EPs and one demo back in 1998. Their releasing their 4th studio album in April.
