It has been stated many times that we're not about to feature every single metal band that has ever existed. Usually we only add already accomplished bands with at least one full-length release. Still, many bands escape our attention, so it's up to you to tell us which of them are the most worthy of being featured on Metal Storm.
Bands listed here are suggested for addition by our users. You can vote for these bands as well as provide additional comments - both of which will be taken into account when we look for the next band to feature on Metal Storm. If the band is not in the list, you can suggest it here (you need to be a registered member).
Make sure you also check the Blacklisted bands - these are the bands we're not going to add at all, since we feel they won't be appropriate for this website. Yes, some non-metal bands are already featured here, but that's not the reason to add a lot more - so we don't accept arguments like "hey, this band is way more metal than band X you have featured!".

In the Autumn of 2008, CHAOS IN PARADISE started taking their first steps in a small garage in Oporto suburbs, where Alex and Quik began to outline the identity of the band.
After a few days, they started searching for other musicians to complete CHAOS IN PARADISE and after a while they found Pedro for guitar, 19 for bass and Sara for the vocal parts.
With the band as a whole, the quintet began writing their first Demo which came out in February 2010, including the songs "Dawn", "Heading North", "The Meaning of Being Imposed" and "Antagonized".
The band recorded the Demo at their own studio and released and distributed the four songs online for free!
After, CHAOS IN PARADISE began their live shows through Portugal, to promote their work and also to obtain experience as a band.
In the beginning of 2011, the band returned to the rehearsal room to start writing their following work, trying a new aproach to improve their sound, bringing their own identity to it and making it more coherent.
With the pre-production on the bagage, the recording sessions of the EP started in March 2011 at Soundvision Studios in Vila do Conde with Paulo Lopes in the co-production.
From the EP entitled "Let the Bliss Remain" the band released their first single "Awareness" to the fans and press, aquiring unanimous opinions expressing that their evolution and sound quality had a huge improvement.
With the "Let the Bliss Remain" presentation and release in June 2011, CHAOS IN PARADISE came back to the road to promote their EP in Portugal, having already some International shows in mind.
At the moment, they're planning to edit their first album in 2012.

Needs at least one full length.

Ugh those weak screams...a better vocalist would be a huge improvement.
08.03.2012 - Kuroboshi
Side project of AAL frontman Tosin Abasi and members of The Mars Volta and Suicidal Tendencies. Not the most metal sound in the world, but there are clear metal undertones. Interesting art!
08.03.2012 - R'Vannith
Wouldn't call them djent but yeah interesting stuff.
31.03.2012 - João Pirucas
This is much more Jazz Fusion than Djent but it's awesome nonetheless. That connotation is there just because Tosin and Javier are part of the band, in my opinion. Good addition to the site anyways. +1
27.03.2014 - Mehdi Taba
Great band with a great album (Lingua Franca), Terrazas, Reyes, Abasi & Moore, fresh sound, awesome performance and production with awesome drum works.

Insense deserves to be on Metal Storm because they are not much known outside of norway. Insense is a fantastic bands and should be heard by so many others than just norwegians that are interested in that kind of music.
The vocalist/guitarist Tommy Hjelm also plays with Benea Reach sometimes

It has been a while since being really blown away from a new discovery.
ProFusion is a bit hard to categorize, combining Progressive Metal riffs, Eclectic stuff a la Beardfish, and catchiness like, well... It just gets stuck in your mind and won't go away.
I've yet to have listened to their first album, but their second one (Rewotower) has really blown me away.
The first song of the album (Ghost House) is available on their Reverbnation page.

I'm just not impressed with bands like this these days...all this type of prog is the same. Sounds like watered down DT...
15.08.2014 - elt

Ace Of Hearts is a "supergroup" with members of Secret Sphere, Icon & the Black Roses and Odd Dimension, his debut album "Monster" is a MUST for the fans of the genre!

It's kinda rare to see a band with old influences nowadays. And, to be honest, I think that what they say about rock'n'roll is true:
"ROCK'N'ROLL IS NOT ABOUT TECHNIQUES AND 32-NOTES-A-SECOND SOLOS, IT'S ABOUT TOUCHING PEOPLE WITH YOUR MUSIC".
18.04.2009 - Dr.Rock
It's kinda rare to see a band with old influences nowadays?
....uhhhh, which planet are you living on?

"Sår" (Sar) is a solo project in Depressive Suicidal Black Metal (DSBM) genre which started in 2008 by its only member "Don Andolini" in the north of Iran. The word "Sår" has been taken from one of the Sortsind's song titles with the same name, and it means "Wounds" in English.

Just listen to a couple of samples and you will wonder why they dont have a little MS real estate already^^. good band, just discovered the other day and they have a lot of success.

Crystal Age was a short lived band from sweden that participated in an important part of the swedish Melodic death metal/thrash scene that included a lot of bands like in flames, at the gates, soilwork, ect. the style is still influencing many bands to this day and with the members of this band participating in very successful bands today such as Dimension Zero and Hammerfall, this piece of metal history and their legacy should be added to metal storm for all metal stormers to see if they dont alreayd know about it.

These guys are highly-skilled, hilarious, and heavy as hell. They are undeniably metal and definitely deserve a place on MetalStorm. They released their first album in '03 and have since achieved minor chart success. A lot of people have actually heard their song "Beer" and don't know who the band is... well, it's Psychostick. :D Great live band as well.
13.10.2011 - SyndicCalls404
Hilarious, but also musically spectacular.
29.08.2012 - Jaeryd17
In spite of what the other two guys have said, they're not musically spectacular, but what they do sounds pretty cool, and it's always hilarious as hell. Beer, ABCDEath and Hokey Fuckin' Pokey are all great tracks and are sure to make you laugh your metal ass off.
30.07.2010 - FUS
Fortress Under Siege is consider to be a classic act of the Greek metal scene. Their self titled debut, back in 1997, had made a lot of impression at that time. Currently band has reunite and is about to finish recording of their new full length CD.
30.07.2010 - FelineNine
New band but has a lot of talent, I think they would become more popular with such exposure. They have just released their first album and the production quality is surprisingly good. Fans of Agalloch and Wolves of the Throne Room would be pleased.
29.07.2010 - Evil-Watcher
New Band of Dungeon Guitarist Stu Marshall. Guest Singers Zak Stevens from Circle II Circle ,Sean Peck from Cage, Mike Vescara from Obsession and Loudness, Carlos Zema from Outworld and others. Great first Album
13.02.2013 - Josh Gottret
It's a band that have more than 5 years playing and recording metal, also they have 3 Full-length albums...even their facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/empiresofeden) has more than 1000 followers...I think would be pretty fair added them to the page! :D
28.07.2010 - Dark Forever
Supergroup with members from bands like Asia, Dream Theater, Erik Norlander and Shadow Gallery. Released two albums (in 2009 and 2010), top quality Progressive Metal with Rock influences. Well worth being featured here.
28.07.2010 - Memento Mori
one of the best in USA in his genre
30.07.2010 - munson
Flaw is still a band? What the hell?
27.12.2012 - Jaeryd17
Flaw is a band, but it's kinda dead. I think they got back together and did some kind of shitty self-produced album, but their other two albums were pretty good, considering the genre. They're not spectacular, but I think they are extraordinary in the context of their genre[s] of alternative/nu-metal/hard rock.
26.07.2010 - bluemobiusx
A: It's some good metal.
B: They are a fairly new band that I think is doing a pretty decent job at what they do.
C: This is a metal site, so you should constantly striving to have a more complete list of bands here.

this is a really cool Venezuelan band, their songs are very well structured, and they have good lyrics.
Venezuela is a country with a lot of talent, but no one has ever cared about it (in our own country), if you see only one band in the MS lists it's not because we don't have more, it's because nobody has taken a few minutes to include them. it is very hard o be musician in Venezuela, we are known for the worst of our land, and not for the good things we have. i think this band, as many others, deserve an opportunity to rise. Someday i will be posting my own band here too, hopefully wishing to be known, the same way i want for this band and for many others.
Sexto Sonar deserves a chance, it's a band with potential, it will be good to see them here.
I Have a question: can I use a Facebook page instead of a myspace to post a band??
18.08.2010 - Ulric
This is a good thrash metal band from Annecy, France. They started at the end of the 80's and i saw them live it was great ! They played 2 Slayer songs, the singer came in the audience to sing with the metalheads ! It's a well-known band in the south east of France.

They founded the first real Hard Rock band in Argentina, using the AC-DC style. The biggest Rock legend of Argentina will never play again, and there will be no RIFF anymore. PAPPO NAPOLITANO, died in an car accident end of February 2005.

BATTLEZONE was the title of ex-IRON MAIDEN vocalist PAUL DIANNO's first band to come to the attention of the public following the break up of DIANNO and found Paul very definitely back into Metal territory.

DELTA is a Neoclassical/Prog Rock/Metal band, formed by Rodrigo Guerra (Guitar) and Nicolas Quinteros (Keyboard) after intermittent intends. They struggled through some years, so, half way there, Santiago Kegevic joined the band. In mid 2003 they could find the talented guitarist, Jorge Sepulveda. Later on, Rodrigo Guerra, left the band, and Benjamin Lechuga took his place and joined the band at the same time as Felipe del Valle who would be the new vocalist. Delta's base was formed and their professional career started at the end of 2003 when they had the chance to record their first CD. It was recorded at late 2003 / early 2004 and its name is "APOLLYON IS FREE". Once the album was recorded, they finally could find the drummer that they were looking for, Andres Rojas. Delta was playing live in all 2004 and 2005. Definitely, the 2005 was a good year; Benjamin Lechuga was endorsed by Ibanez Guitars! And in the middle of 2005, they were called to play with STRATOVARIUS in Chile. After that, in early 2006, Delta started to work in the recording sessions for the new album called "BLACK & COLD", Benjamin Lechuga and Santiago Kegevic were endorsed by Magma Strings. Also there is a formation change in the band; Jorge Sepulveda decides to leave the band for personal reasons. Delta on 2007 opened shows for 2 worldwide metal bands: SYMPHONY X and VISION DIVINE. The year 2008 couldn't start better. The band toured through the South of Chile and on March 1st we opened the show for DREAM THEATER in Chile being elected for that job by Mike Portnoy himself. In april 15th, Delta opened for "Riders on the storm: THE DOORS" too. And now, with their third studio album called "CRASHBREAKER" (Featuring Metal Mike Chlasiack) and their first live DVD "LIVE AT THE BEGINNING", Delta is considered one of the most successful metal band in Chile appearing in lots of webzines, magazines (Rolling Stones included), some radio stations, fanclub and more. Hard working and trying to do the best music they are capable to offer are their main objectives for the future.

Crowned in Earth was formed by Kevin Lawry in 2008. After forming his own Death / Doom band, Silent Winter, Kevin decided to venture more into the traditional side of Doom. After a self-released EP titled 'Welcome To The Brotherhood Of The Crown' the foundation was laid down to make a bigger step into creating a full-length album with a stronger focus on the song writing.
During the autumn of 2009, with the progress of the new songs coming along Crowned In Earth signed with Shadow Kingdom Records. This time also saw the recruit of drummer Darin McCloskey (Pale Divine, Falcon, ex Sinister Realm) step in to play on the album.
This year has seen the release of Crowned In Earths debut album 'Visions Of The Haunted'. The new songs have demonstrated a higher level of musicianship, a more compelling emotional range both dark in effect and tight in their grooves. This is document to Kevin's most powerful song writing yet!
