14:31 - Cynic Metalhead Playing with my semen was never meant to be funny, Joe. That was some serious business.
14:30 - !J.O.O.E.! I should tell that guy I'm a Capricorn. Maybe he'll respect my opinions more.
14:23 - Ilham That's cuz you dunno how to analyse stuff in DEPTH Joe, ur cancer. U know... cancer.
14:18 - Ilham Yeah they all talk about it as if it's the equivalent of emptying an ak47 mag into the head of your baby. But I have a shoddy electrical panel in this place and some outlets aren't connected to the ground, so I get jolted often.
14:16 - !J.O.O.E.! Just realised I basically repeated what Ilham just said.
14:14 - !J.O.O.E.! Just don't wear socks and build it on a carpet.
14:12 - !J.O.O.E.! I think risk of damaging it from static is pretty unlikely (seems like a horror story you keep reading about but never really happens). If you touch the metal housing in the case every so often it discharges it, supposedly.
It has been stated many times that we're not about to feature every single metal band that has ever existed. Usually we only add already accomplished bands with at least one full-length release. Still, many bands escape our attention, so it's up to you to tell us which of them are the most worthy of being featured on Metal Storm.
Bands listed here are suggested for addition by our users. You can vote for these bands as well as provide additional comments - both of which will be taken into account when we look for the next band to feature on Metal Storm. If the band is not in the list, you can suggest it here (you need to be a registered member).
Make sure you also check the Blacklisted bands - these are the bands we're not going to add at all, since we feel they won't be appropriate for this website. Yes, some non-metal bands are already featured here, but that's not the reason to add a lot more - so we don't accept arguments like "hey, this band is way more metal than band X you have featured!".
08.03.2012 - Kuroboshi
Side project of AAL frontman Tosin Abasi and members of The Mars Volta and Suicidal Tendencies. Not the most metal sound in the world, but there are clear metal undertones. Interesting art!
08.03.2012 - R'Vannith
Wouldn't call them djent but yeah interesting stuff.
31.03.2012 - João Pirucas
This is much more Jazz Fusion than Djent but it's awesome nonetheless. That connotation is there just because Tosin and Javier are part of the band, in my opinion. Good addition to the site anyways. +1
27.03.2014 - Mehdi Taba
Great band with a great album (Lingua Franca), Terrazas, Reyes, Abasi & Moore, fresh sound, awesome performance and production with awesome drum works.

In the Autumn of 2008, CHAOS IN PARADISE started taking their first steps in a small garage in Oporto suburbs, where Alex and Quik began to outline the identity of the band.
After a few days, they started searching for other musicians to complete CHAOS IN PARADISE and after a while they found Pedro for guitar, 19 for bass and Sara for the vocal parts.
With the band as a whole, the quintet began writing their first Demo which came out in February 2010, including the songs "Dawn", "Heading North", "The Meaning of Being Imposed" and "Antagonized".
The band recorded the Demo at their own studio and released and distributed the four songs online for free!
After, CHAOS IN PARADISE began their live shows through Portugal, to promote their work and also to obtain experience as a band.
In the beginning of 2011, the band returned to the rehearsal room to start writing their following work, trying a new aproach to improve their sound, bringing their own identity to it and making it more coherent.
With the pre-production on the bagage, the recording sessions of the EP started in March 2011 at Soundvision Studios in Vila do Conde with Paulo Lopes in the co-production.
From the EP entitled "Let the Bliss Remain" the band released their first single "Awareness" to the fans and press, aquiring unanimous opinions expressing that their evolution and sound quality had a huge improvement.
With the "Let the Bliss Remain" presentation and release in June 2011, CHAOS IN PARADISE came back to the road to promote their EP in Portugal, having already some International shows in mind.
At the moment, they're planning to edit their first album in 2012.
28.07.2013 - psykometal
Needs at least one full length.
24.11.2013 - LeKiwi
Ugh those weak screams...a better vocalist would be a huge improvement.
22.07.2009 - Wildchild-91
Insense deserves to be on Metal Storm because they are not much known outside of norway. Insense is a fantastic bands and should be heard by so many others than just norwegians that are interested in that kind of music.
The vocalist/guitarist Tommy Hjelm also plays with Benea Reach sometimes
22.05.2012 - RocknRaven
It has been a while since being really blown away from a new discovery.
ProFusion is a bit hard to categorize, combining Progressive Metal riffs, Eclectic stuff a la Beardfish, and catchiness like, well... It just gets stuck in your mind and won't go away.
I've yet to have listened to their first album, but their second one (Rewotower) has really blown me away.
The first song of the album (Ghost House) is available on their Reverbnation page.
25.07.2013 - LeKiwi
I'm just not impressed with bands like this these days...all this type of prog is the same. Sounds like watered down DT...
15.08.2014 - elt
very good...I also listened to a preview of their third album, really nice ...
02.05.2012 - gabrielsanctus
Ace Of Hearts is a "supergroup" with members of Secret Sphere, Icon & the Black Roses and Odd Dimension, his debut album "Monster" is a MUST for the fans of the genre!
10.04.2009 - Hunter'sMoon
It's kinda rare to see a band with old influences nowadays. And, to be honest, I think that what they say about rock'n'roll is true:
"ROCK'N'ROLL IS NOT ABOUT TECHNIQUES AND 32-NOTES-A-SECOND SOLOS, IT'S ABOUT TOUCHING PEOPLE WITH YOUR MUSIC".
18.04.2009 - Dr.Rock
It's kinda rare to see a band with old influences nowadays?
....uhhhh, which planet are you living on?
14.10.2009 - artah
"Sår" (Sar) is a solo project in Depressive Suicidal Black Metal (DSBM) genre which started in 2008 by its only member "Don Andolini" in the north of Iran. The word "Sår" has been taken from one of the Sortsind's song titles with the same name, and it means "Wounds" in English.
08.11.2010 - Sulac
A side-project of Lord Cabal of Doominhated, Ringwraith is simply one of the finest black metal acts I've heard. Lyrics are based completely upon Tolkien, hence the name. They've only released two splits, and no lone LP's, but I feel like their splits are of sufficient quality to earn the band a place on Metalstorm.
07.11.2010 - JohnDoe
John Norum is the well known guitarist of Europe. After he left Europe after the Final Countdown was released, he started a solo career in 1987; he is influenced by bands such as UFO, Thin Lizzy, Gary Moore to name a few. He collaborated with Glenn Hughes on his second album, Face the truth - 1992. Norum's music is influenced by classic hard rock, blues, some traditional heavy metal.
His last album was released this year while taking a break from Europe.
05.11.2010 - nekrofucker
Because they are one of the most powerful metal band on mexico, i think Inner Mortum should be on Metal Storm.. |m|
A black/death metal band with deathcore influences, see.. in mexico there's nothing like that.. and we are about to record our second album, on april 2011..
05.11.2010 - gahoaglund

'Insane Society' is amazing album.
04.11.2010 - Meller
Pure, ecstatic Repulsion / Autopsy worship at it's best... from the guys who are no light-weighters in this ring at themselves! When the main bands include Dismember, Entombed and The Crown, you'll know you're in for some DM treat, and trust me, it is as good as you'll expect it to be. In my books one of the most awesome 'side projects' of all time - the guys released two full lengths and after that no news, unfortunately. The second album featured also Chris Reifert himself, contributing tons of stuff to the project and making the album even more sick than the first one. If you know 'em, you WILL love 'em and support for this add-on. If they're new to you, I envy you, since you're in for a treat.
02.11.2010 - quadraphonicband
Quadraphonic should be on Metal Storm because it is one of the best and most hard working bands in Cyprus, the release of their debut album is near and it needs as much exposure as possible, the style is quite unique, no other band sounds like Quadraphonic and their love and passion is something completely evident when yopu listen to their songs, plus it is equally well known as ALL the bands you have in the Cypriot band category and it should be there amongst its Metal Brothers! :)
Please check these videos and you will understand what i mean:
02.11.2010 - BudDa
I have only listened to their 2009 album titled Metronomicon and I like it. The album is entirely instrumental and the guys are pretty good at what they do. The track "Fuego barbarica" is what made me fall in love with this band. Check them out
31.10.2010 - Candlemass
Their release "Son of Sulphur" is very spoken of in the extreme metal scene
and they create challenging death metal which I'm generally fond of. They continue to release more albums as we speak.
Similar somewhat to what would be a mix of Ulcerate, Cryptopsy & The Dillinger Escape Plan.
01.11.2010 - Meller
Technical modern Grind, I'd call it. But hell yeah, this band is worth adding. At best they give you some serious bite to chew on.
30.10.2010 - ScreamingSteelUS
Cross Exam is, simpy put, a party thrash band. The music is loud, fast, and sloppy, and just reeks of alcohol. Most of the songs deal with partying, pizza, beer, or thrash. Cross Exam is a lot of drug-fueled, sweat-soaked fun, replete with all the necessary factors to make a Metal band. The guitars are loud and shred-heavy, the drums are played at breakneck speed, and the bass barely holds everything together while the singer just shrieks away in what sounds like a failed attempt at a Joey Belladonna takeoff. While only a couple of years old and largely unknown, Cross Exam has released a full-length album, along with an EP and a demo. Few bands can pound their instruments with the same frenetic ferocity and Metal rage as Cross Exam, so it would really be a crime to not put them on Metal Storm.
24.06.2011 - Lit. Metalhead
They have the appeal of SATD era Motley Crue and sound like Stormtoopers of Death.
05.02.2013 - Pathora
This band NEEDS to be on here. They're so awesome.
30.10.2010 - elfs220
RELICSEED is a great concert groups, capable of triggering any listener. Play hard, live hard and does not disappoint. This is the Latvian team, which reads the Latvian language and the social themes. RELICSEED is home to a true Metal Storm.
30.10.2010 - enanox
Vardogr is one of the most remarkable bands in the Uruguayan under metal scene, they already has a recorded EP and a full album is coming. Also they are one of the few black metal bands in activity in Uruguay.
28.10.2010 - VezzyRattlehead
So, these guys were actually a band called Vomit formed in 1985 in Norway and played death/thrash metal who had four publicly leaked/released rehearsals (interestingly, one of them was sold in Euronymous' Helvete record store without the band's knowledge, even though Euronymous was known for his hatred of death metal) and a demo called "Rotting in Hell". Two of the members also played in Mayhem in 1988 (Kittil Kittilsen and Torben Grue). Now a cult band.
The band later morphed into a punk rock outfit, whereas parts of it later reformed in 1996 as Kvikksølvguttene and released an EP and a full-length before calling it quits, (permanently?) ending the project.
28.10.2010 - ravendeath
This is a classic goth band originaly formed by Anne Nurmi (now Lacrimosa) in 1987. Still working and should be featured in MS, at least like an invisible band. Great history behind them.
26.10.2010 - dunskii
amazing band, saw them at gramercy multiple times and at each show they kick ass
i feel that they will personally go a really long way through the metal world because they sound great and just play a great show
27.10.2010 - Impeckable
+1 because most of the band members are from Suspyre. Sounds really good too.
25.10.2010 - Nikkola88
they plays differently than most of demo bands. they recorded "the ep" wwhich contains 6 songs and during november they will record their first album. all of the band is experienced musicians.
