It has been stated many times that we're not about to feature every single metal band that has ever existed. Usually we only add already accomplished bands with at least one full-length release. Still, many bands escape our attention, so it's up to you to tell us which of them are the most worthy of being featured on Metal Storm.
Bands listed here are suggested for addition by our users. You can vote for these bands as well as provide additional comments - both of which will be taken into account when we look for the next band to feature on Metal Storm. If the band is not in the list, you can suggest it here (you need to be a registered member).
Make sure you also check the Blacklisted bands - these are the bands we're not going to add at all, since we feel they won't be appropriate for this website. Yes, some non-metal bands are already featured here, but that's not the reason to add a lot more - so we don't accept arguments like "hey, this band is way more metal than band X you have featured!".

The band features 3 members from Isis, another post metal band already on MS, and the vocalist of Deftones.
It is more post-like than Isis and not quite as heavy, but it definitely deserves a place on MS, as it is reminiscent of bands like AtomA.
I believe that a lot of fans of bands like Isis, AtomA, Enshine, Aoria and other bands in that vein of music will greatly appreciate this band.
29.06.2013 - SyFFiLiS
"Heavy, stargazing rock outfit Palms was forged out of an explosive collision, as Deftones vocalist Chino Moreno joined forces with critically-lauded post-metal group ISIS". This should be enough said to add this band on MS.
04.07.2013 - tea[m]ster
Album is fantastic, put it on here!
07.07.2013 - Unhealer
Liking this album more and more each listen!
28.07.2013 - psykometal
Didn't hear any metal in this at all when I listened.
03.10.2013 - 3rdWorld
-1. And i do agree with Mr.Database manager. There isn't any metal in this at all. No need to die to get it added in here, cuz this doesn't deserve a place here. Not to mention their really crappy and bland debut. Pfft. >:(
24.10.2013 - ScreamingSteelUS
I don't understand why people insist on associating post-rock with metal. There is no metal here.
29.12.2013 - Zaphod
Agreed, no reason to be on MS. Then again, they added Anneke Van Giersbergen just because she has been in metal bands...
24.05.2012 - The Benighted
Corelia are a burgeoning progressive/technical metal band with a single EP under their belts. With a sound not unlike Protest the Hero and The Human Abstract, they've come across some especially interesting ideas along the way, with a stunning selection of songs, to boot. 'Nostalgia' was released in 2011, and I've been listening ever since. Highly recommended.
09.09.2013 - LeKiwi
Not unlike Periphery's heavier moments...not bad
02.10.2013 - BaneConall
They are working on a full length now. Hopefully soon.
17.03.2014 - Dead In Hell
I have to say, the sound IS unlike Protest the Hero. The only way these bands sound alike is if you've never heard progressive metal before. Corelia is doing something entirely different, something that is much more amenable to fans of the genre and not just tweens taking a break from their Miley Cyrus playlists.
Anyway, Corelia deserves to be included on the site. Nostalgia is a phenomenal release that has garnered the band a lot of well-deserved attention and acclaim. If the upcoming album is of the same quality, it's going to take the genre by storm.
10.04.2013 - JefferyTotterdell
Great up and coming band, with a bit of reggae and Latin mixed in, which is groovy
First Ep of three albums and the progression is really good.
These types of bands have been doing really well lately.
But the music tells the real story so have a listen, a few live performances on YouTube.
27.03.2014 - Giza
Amazing Progressive/Alternative Metal band. Sounds like a mix of Meshuggah and Faith No More.
26.05.2014 - andreosokin
totally agree! should be added ASAP, I'll help with filling their page out
20.03.2009 - Yossarian
Info in English here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Los_Suaves
They should be here as Spain is a kind of important country as regards metal fans and this band is together with another 4 or 5 the most famous hard rock and rock band in the territory. Above all from Madrid northwards. They only reason why outsiders don't know them is the fact that they sing in Spanish. Otherwise, they would be popular enough for you.
Their music style is quite similar to The Ramones, Motorhead...The voice is let's say "peculiar". They are still active after 28 years and still selling out venues.
Their website appears to be in maintenance now.
02.06.2014 - Jujitsu-man
Can't believe they're not here. One of the most important hard rock bands in Spain.
09.06.2014 - Shankao
They are not only a Hard Rock band. They have several Heavy Metal songs.
27.01.2010 - ArcticWolf
Fastway are a British heavy metal band formed by guitarist, "Fast" Eddie Clarke, formerly of Motörhead, and bassist, Pete Way, formerly of UFO.
Don't think I need more reasons to explain why the band needs to be part of MS? Do You? I bet most of Motörhead and UFO fans are familiar with Fastway or know something about the band.
In addition, I am not able to find there official site, however I provided a link to there myspace page.
27.01.2010 - DayFly
AOR of the sticky, shmalzy kind
24.10.2013 - onedh
Fastway should be included in metalstorm.com ASAP. "Fast" Eddie Clarke delivers atrue amount of oldschool Heavy Metal. Also this band has been an influence for many other bands.
02.12.2009 - Bastard Child
London based and out to offend everyone. Featuring members of Damnas and Inner Rage River Frehney have terrorized the UK underground with their no holds bar offensive comedy and hardcore thrash. Have played with ArnoCorps, Ring Wrom and Evile, toured with Nebukadnezza and have a number of EP's released.
05.06.2013 - psykometal
Needs at least one full length.
24.03.2014 - Northern Danger
Psyko why? In metalstorm we have so many bands who have only EPs and splits. I think that's no condition....
12.06.2011 - SceneryOfLoss
Stamina is a french metal band founded by the keyboardist Gildas Vijay ROUSSEAU. In 2006 they released their debut album "Mess'Age" and currently work on the second album "Via Crucis".
30.12.2009 - drpaxton
This band is worth listening to to all who like heavy music. They play a very unique kind of music, you can call it alternative rock, or hard rock, with one the most talented lead singers out there.
15.03.2011 - WingedOctopi
Amazing band, fans of Tool should like this.
05.01.2012 - hadriel
This band needs to be added. Similar bands like dredg and Fair to Midland have been added to the site, rightfully so should these guys. Not to mention that their music is stellar! ;)
12.04.2012 - Nicoline
With 2,4 million listens registered on last.fm, this band cannot be ignored. I hope to read reviews and updates on Rishloo from MS in the future.

In the Autumn of 2008, CHAOS IN PARADISE started taking their first steps in a small garage in Oporto suburbs, where Alex and Quik began to outline the identity of the band.
After a few days, they started searching for other musicians to complete CHAOS IN PARADISE and after a while they found Pedro for guitar, 19 for bass and Sara for the vocal parts.
With the band as a whole, the quintet began writing their first Demo which came out in February 2010, including the songs "Dawn", "Heading North", "The Meaning of Being Imposed" and "Antagonized".
The band recorded the Demo at their own studio and released and distributed the four songs online for free!
After, CHAOS IN PARADISE began their live shows through Portugal, to promote their work and also to obtain experience as a band.
In the beginning of 2011, the band returned to the rehearsal room to start writing their following work, trying a new aproach to improve their sound, bringing their own identity to it and making it more coherent.
With the pre-production on the bagage, the recording sessions of the EP started in March 2011 at Soundvision Studios in Vila do Conde with Paulo Lopes in the co-production.
From the EP entitled "Let the Bliss Remain" the band released their first single "Awareness" to the fans and press, aquiring unanimous opinions expressing that their evolution and sound quality had a huge improvement.
With the "Let the Bliss Remain" presentation and release in June 2011, CHAOS IN PARADISE came back to the road to promote their EP in Portugal, having already some International shows in mind.
At the moment, they're planning to edit their first album in 2012.

Slash's Snakepit was a rock band which was a side-project formed by then-Guns N' Roses lead guitarist Slash (Saul Hudson) in 1994. On their first album, Matt Sorum (drums), Gilby Clarke (rhythm guitar) and Dizzy Reed (keyboard) from Guns N' Roses played in this band. On bass was Mike Inez of Alice in Chains and Eric Dover (who had previously played guitar for Jellyfish) sang lead vocals.
GN'R colleague Teddy Andreadis also appeared on the record playing harmonica & keyboards.
03.03.2010 - DayFly
Honestly, this stuff has too much boogie to call it metal. Maybe if Aerosmith were here...
05.04.2013 - DarkSymphony500
Atmospheric/Doom Metal band with gothic influences. They get the influences from bands such as Draconian, Agalloch, Shape of Despair, Saturnus and Tristania. They have released 2 EPs and a full-length album 'Errances' (2012).
22.03.2014 - RavenV.
Exceptionally atmopsheric doom band. Hope they will be soon part of the database.
08.06.2011 - in GRAVE
they are a good progressive metal band and they are influenced in dream theater and symphony x
16.05.2012 - Oracles
There one of those hidden European Prog Metal bands that are from a country who produces little to zero good metal bands and they signed with an unknown record company that is making them go unnoticed. But if everything goes good, this band has immense future. Their major influence is Dream Theater.
Tree of Life ,
The Land of Lights.
All of which you can find on youtube.
05.12.2010 - Grave Digger 87
Lutomysl doesn't have a website or a myspace, so that myspace link is a fan page. They have a pritty intense heavy style, kind of depressive sometimes too. There is only 6 bands from Ukraine on MS! Thats gotta change, hehehe.
Edit: Lutomysl does have a myspace now, http://www.myspace.com/lutomyslofficial
27.12.2012 - LaineJ
Great band, one of my favourite bm band
24.02.2009 - warlock84
We are a young band trying to get our name out there and believe this site is a great tool to help with that. We are a true metal band, not that nu-metal or radio friendly junk. We all grew up listening to bands like Pantera, Slayer, Iced Earth, Testament, Kataklysm, Amon Amarth, etc and strive to bring back the old school heavy metal. We hope to record a demo this year and any press, good or bad, would be greatly appreciated.
23.04.2010 - Arkaholic

Great Melodic Black Death Metal band from the USA. Check them out and see if you think they should be part of MS community. They already released 1 album which was released April 9 of this year.

Deadnight definitly deserves a spot amongst the greatest of the Extreme Metal bands.Their mixture of pure In Your Face Death,Thrash and Black Metal will keep your head banging for hours. It will rape your ears and leave you wanting for more.
22.04.2010 - grospwele
I know the Metal Scene is already filled with souless <melodic death black> bands that just wants in on the money.Don't worry,Anomally isn't one of them. The production quality and the ammount of talent and effort put in their music makes it an awesome band to check out.
27.09.2012 - Anomally

21.04.2010 - Onkel Tom
Because they have been called the new thrash metal hope from Denmark ( http://www.corazine.com/articles/m/mordax/reviews/the-new-danish-thrash-metal-hope.aspx ). I think this band will be very big very soon !
20.04.2010 - munson
This band just plain shreds face. Some of the most gnarly riffage I've heard in a while, the band is going to release their third studio album in July.
Similar to PsyOpus or Ion Dissonance.
16.04.2010 - Uirapuru
They are a pretty famous Japanese Death Metal band. Their only full-lenght ''Supreme Entity'' is an amazing album.
Im not sure if they are still active, but five years without news mean that they probably aren't...
18.03.2011 - qui_killer
Vomit Remnants definetly deserves to be on MS!
15.04.2010 - WhiteHawk
The band Ice Vinland was born in June 1997. All its members are from the Quebec City region and all have at least 12 years of pertinent musical experience. The style adopted by this quintet is, of course, true metal, The originality of Ice Vinland comes principally from Vanguardian lyrics of the guitar synthesizer, the atmospheric keyboard, the disconcerting rhythms of electric guitars, heavy and unexpected and versatile voices. Stories overshadowing key subsects, very contemporary and also very historical, such as the fears of the new millenium, the orphaned children of the Duplessis era, the discovery of North America by the early vikings, all of which reflect their own philosophy of Creation and of the Holy Bible. So have a listen and see what you think.
01.09.2010 - Eruntano
Canadian progressive metaller never diisappoint. And power metal scene there is also strong. So this is the best combination.
15.05.2010 - grospwele
It should be on MS because they are an outstanding band that always pushes the boundaries of the genre. They deserve the visibility and the vocals by Cassiopée are simply breathtaking.I saw them live yesterday in a small bar and I couldn't help to think how epic they would sound playing on a real stage in front of a big crowd.Only you guys can make that dream come true...So vote!!You won't regret it
11.04.2010 - pino
Inner Quest are an italian prog quartet that plays instrumental music. They released their first full lenght that is called "Endless Illusion" in 2009.
Their music is an alchemy between 70's prog and modern metal with a little bit of fusion and thrash music. All positive reviews, a "must" for prog metal listeners that are searching for something new.
10.04.2010 - robichaud1
This is a great band featuring Aaron Harris (Isis, drummer), Caleb Scofield (Cave In), and Santos Montano. Very groovy, heavy. Two great albums so far (Harmonic Tremors - 2007; Bird of Prey - 2008). On the groundbreaking label Hydra Head (Isis, Jesu, Cave In, Lustmord, These Arms Are Snakes). Great stuff.
09.04.2010 - UnderworldEvents
Hawaii's most infamous export in the metal/punk genre dominating the state's music scene for over a decade. America's first metal band to extensively tour mainland China and one of the world's most famous non famous bands. Signed to Malt Soda Recordings and a long time Jagermeister sponsored band, Corrupt Absolute tours worldwide and is one of the major forces in the revival of the 80's thrash crossover resurgance along with other bands such as DRI and Municipal Waste. 4 full length releases
09.04.2010 - WhiteHawk
Surprising this band isn't on here since they been around since the late 1980s as well they got many releases under there name. Those guys are still around today. I will recommend this band to anyone who loves old school death metal or death metal in general because they are worth the time to be heard. They got good powerful vocalist with great instrumentation. They also usually sing about Gore, Sickness, Death, Torture .... so if you like those themes then you would probably like this band.
12.04.2010 - Funeralopolis
