21:04 - Erik M. Well, those #DIV/0 can be undone though, but once a cell has #REF! in it, you're screwed unless you didn't save the file, because a simple Crtl + Z doesn't undo it, hahaha. And don't get me started on those circular references...
21:00 - Erik M. I actually tried to link sheets in different files to each other on purpose, but then changing a formula is highly annoying... but the worst thing is for some reason I get those damn DIV/0 and #REF! errors which can't be undone...
20:57 - Zaphod Stage diving at Sunn O)))... Way to be aware of a show's atmosphere.
20:56 - !J.O.O.E.! Lol, idiot. Was that the Southwest Terrorfest? Nice little lineup that had.
20:54 - Jaeryd17 Just saw Sunn O))) live (yes, right after the Mastodon concert I went to the day before) and some dumb bastard snuck backstage and tried to stage dive. He hit the ground so hard... not sure if he was more hurt or embarassed, lol
20:53 - Zaphod Oh brutal death metal... You always had a way with words.
20:36 - Cynic Metalhead No all 28 files have different sheets and they're also inter-linked. So, one change and it changes in every file. Fuck.
It has been stated many times that we're not about to feature every single metal band that has ever existed. Usually we only add already accomplished bands with at least one full-length release. Still, many bands escape our attention, so it's up to you to tell us which of them are the most worthy of being featured on Metal Storm.
Bands listed here are suggested for addition by our users. You can vote for these bands as well as provide additional comments - both of which will be taken into account when we look for the next band to feature on Metal Storm. If the band is not in the list, you can suggest it here (you need to be a registered member).
Make sure you also check the Blacklisted bands - these are the bands we're not going to add at all, since we feel they won't be appropriate for this website. Yes, some non-metal bands are already featured here, but that's not the reason to add a lot more - so we don't accept arguments like "hey, this band is way more metal than band X you have featured!".

In the Autumn of 2008, CHAOS IN PARADISE started taking their first steps in a small garage in Oporto suburbs, where Alex and Quik began to outline the identity of the band.
After a few days, they started searching for other musicians to complete CHAOS IN PARADISE and after a while they found Pedro for guitar, 19 for bass and Sara for the vocal parts.
With the band as a whole, the quintet began writing their first Demo which came out in February 2010, including the songs "Dawn", "Heading North", "The Meaning of Being Imposed" and "Antagonized".
The band recorded the Demo at their own studio and released and distributed the four songs online for free!
After, CHAOS IN PARADISE began their live shows through Portugal, to promote their work and also to obtain experience as a band.
In the beginning of 2011, the band returned to the rehearsal room to start writing their following work, trying a new aproach to improve their sound, bringing their own identity to it and making it more coherent.
With the pre-production on the bagage, the recording sessions of the EP started in March 2011 at Soundvision Studios in Vila do Conde with Paulo Lopes in the co-production.
From the EP entitled "Let the Bliss Remain" the band released their first single "Awareness" to the fans and press, aquiring unanimous opinions expressing that their evolution and sound quality had a huge improvement.
With the "Let the Bliss Remain" presentation and release in June 2011, CHAOS IN PARADISE came back to the road to promote their EP in Portugal, having already some International shows in mind.
At the moment, they're planning to edit their first album in 2012.

Needs at least one full length.

Ugh those weak screams...a better vocalist would be a huge improvement.

Side project of AAL frontman Tosin Abasi and members of The Mars Volta and Suicidal Tendencies. Not the most metal sound in the world, but there are clear metal undertones. Interesting art!
08.03.2012 - R'Vannith
Wouldn't call them djent but yeah interesting stuff.
31.03.2012 - João Pirucas
This is much more Jazz Fusion than Djent but it's awesome nonetheless. That connotation is there just because Tosin and Javier are part of the band, in my opinion. Good addition to the site anyways. +1
27.03.2014 - Mehdi Taba
Great band with a great album (Lingua Franca), Terrazas, Reyes, Abasi & Moore, fresh sound, awesome performance and production with awesome drum works.

Insense deserves to be on Metal Storm because they are not much known outside of norway. Insense is a fantastic bands and should be heard by so many others than just norwegians that are interested in that kind of music.
The vocalist/guitarist Tommy Hjelm also plays with Benea Reach sometimes

It has been a while since being really blown away from a new discovery.
ProFusion is a bit hard to categorize, combining Progressive Metal riffs, Eclectic stuff a la Beardfish, and catchiness like, well... It just gets stuck in your mind and won't go away.
I've yet to have listened to their first album, but their second one (Rewotower) has really blown me away.
The first song of the album (Ghost House) is available on their Reverbnation page.

I'm just not impressed with bands like this these days...all this type of prog is the same. Sounds like watered down DT...

Ace Of Hearts is a "supergroup" with members of Secret Sphere, Icon & the Black Roses and Odd Dimension, his debut album "Monster" is a MUST for the fans of the genre!

It's kinda rare to see a band with old influences nowadays. And, to be honest, I think that what they say about rock'n'roll is true:
"ROCK'N'ROLL IS NOT ABOUT TECHNIQUES AND 32-NOTES-A-SECOND SOLOS, IT'S ABOUT TOUCHING PEOPLE WITH YOUR MUSIC".
18.04.2009 - Dr.Rock
It's kinda rare to see a band with old influences nowadays?
....uhhhh, which planet are you living on?

"Sår" (Sar) is a solo project in Depressive Suicidal Black Metal (DSBM) genre which started in 2008 by its only member "Don Andolini" in the north of Iran. The word "Sår" has been taken from one of the Sortsind's song titles with the same name, and it means "Wounds" in English.

I feel that Reign Dehumanity should be on Metal Storm so that they can get exposure with this Metal community. There are thousands of bands with different styles to choose from. Reign Dehumanity has its own uniqueness about them. The Metal Community needs variety so they can find bands that are available and they can choose a band they like and write reviews and share their input with other Metal fans.

Formed in 1993, Fatal Embrace is not a band you would accuse of jumping on a bandwagen because thrash metal seems hip again. In fact, these young men started out in the early Nineties as a hard-hitting metal band to praise the glorious days of the '80s when bands like Slayer, Exodus, Metallica, Venom, Sodom and Kreator ruled the musical extremes.
12.06.2010 - Iced Penguin
Tapping the Vein is very talented and the singer (Heather) has a very powerful and passionate voice. They put on a great show live in concert and their songs are dark, gothic, and well written. Tapping the Vein's record label(s) is Dancing Ferret/Nuclear Blast and they are from Philadelphia, PA, USA. They have 2 full-length albums and an EP.

Venefica has a lot of enthusiasm, dedication and qualities such as melodic sense, harmony, ambient song structures etc, and on Metal Storm there are very few bands from Serbia so Venefica might be a valuable add-on to the list. Give this band a chance to be heard.

Romeo Must Die is ex „ STAMPIN' GROUND „ (Century Media Records) a band that the world press labeled a veteran force and the UK's most credible and successful underground band of the last decade.

Gandalf is a death-metal band from Finland whose more traditional metal sound links them with Sweden's Entombed and Finland's own Sentenced, among others, rather than the more experimental Scandinavian bands such as Emperor. The band's first international album, Deadly Fairytales, was released in 1999. Rock Hell followed two years later.

Last month, I happened to see three surprisingly good Greek bands live warming-up for Xandria at their gig in Athens. The best band was, of course, Bare Infinity, the most professional ones who have gained lots of success even abroad. However, the band that personally got my attention mostly (and, to be completely honest with you - fully during their set) was rather SadDolls. Even though the band had some sound problems, they all did their job pretty well. Many people would say that their frontman reminded much of either Ville Valo or Pete Steele. However, their music (in my opinion) is way different compared with HIM's and Type'O'Negative's discography. SadDolls have already released their debut album. They have also shot a video for the song "Watch Me Crawl Behind" and are definitely among Greece's best Goth acts. I support this band because I find it somehow different and I do think there is future for its music. SadDolls are currently working on new song, as well as on a new video. Let's add something different!
04.06.2010 - Uirapuru
Dude, you are too fuckin rigorous. MS is not an encyclopedia, they may add some bands that, despite not being metal, can appeal to the taste of many metalheads. Being close to metal sometimes is good enough.
26.05.2014 - ArsMilitaria
Well, Metal or not, I like them, thumbs up from me.
31.05.2010 - Sy-Furr
I have seen these guys play like four times. They know their Metal! Just the kind of music that we need more of.
I think we will be hearing a lot about them is the very near future. They have made a name for themselves in Seattle already.
Blood and Thunder deserves the attention.
Here is a review of their latest show : http://www.nocleansinging.com/2010/05/30/blood-and-thunder/#more-12494

Dreyelands are a melodic progressive metal band from Hungary. The band offer up a new fresh, yet classic sound in the melodic progressive metal genre and ‘Rooms Of Revelation’ opens its doors to the public on April 17 2010. They will surely be cherished by those who like Dream Theater, Symphony X, Pagan’s Mind, Circus Maximus, Jorn Lande, Evergrey, Redemption, etc.

One of the most recognized Bulgarian metal bands, especially as of recent. Seven full-length albums since 2008, plus seven demos. They're definitely metal and some of the strongest Bulgarian lyrics.
26.07.2010 - neo_torment
Vezzy - are you deaf? Don't we care about lyrics when vocals & instruments sounding emberassing thin for an act associated with any kind of metal genre. Why is this dude selling records instead of his pure manpower, doing fieldwork from 9 - 5

Wig Wam is a Norwegian hard rock band, which is dedicated to Glam metal and imitates the style of typical rock bands from the 1980s movement.
Wig Wam comes from Norway, more specifically the county of Østfold, and they were founded in 2001. Before their establishment the band members were already active in the music business, playing in bands like Dream Police, Artch, Sha-Boom, Ole Evenrud and Alien, or as solo artists. Wig Wam worked hard to get to the top of the national charts, starting their career with numerous live performances across the country, quickly becoming one of Norway's most popular live bands. Their fan base is known as Wig Wamaniacs.
