It has been stated many times that we're not about to feature every single metal band that has ever existed. Usually we only add already accomplished bands with at least one full-length release. Still, many bands escape our attention, so it's up to you to tell us which of them are the most worthy of being featured on Metal Storm.
Bands listed here are suggested for addition by our users. You can vote for these bands as well as provide additional comments - both of which will be taken into account when we look for the next band to feature on Metal Storm. If the band is not in the list, you can suggest it here (you need to be a registered member).
Make sure you also check the Blacklisted bands - these are the bands we're not going to add at all, since we feel they won't be appropriate for this website. Yes, some non-metal bands are already featured here, but that's not the reason to add a lot more - so we don't accept arguments like "hey, this band is way more metal than band X you have featured!".

Well simply put one of the most influential progressive rock bands throughout the 70's considering the keyboard work and the unusual lineup.
For MS: If we can have King Crimson (definitely prog rock), Rush (prog rock), Led Zeppelin (hard/progressive rock) and also AOR bands like Journey, I think we can definitely put them here (and overlook their late works).
If you have doubts just listen to their work "Tarkus": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7j8bSr8RnU4

Maybe we should remove the bands you listed so people will stop suggesting prog rock bands.

Lol. It's kinda like - when or where will it stop? Bach? Robert Johnson? Camel? Santana? Are 120 pages of suggestions not enough for the MS users and staff to go through? I'm almost regretting bringing up Jeff Beck three years ago... other bands mentioned way earlier haven't had much of a decent look-in. Viron, Sypnosys, Aggression - are these bands not more relevant to this database? Also, no offence but it's almost like you're not reading the third paragraph of the rules or guidelines up there. ^ Pink Floyd were hollered out for, suggested, denied, added, deleted and shut down - don't hold your breath for ELP

Maybe we should just not let people suggest bands and leave the band additions to the staff... |

Good prog-black band; they released their debut album in 2011 and it garnered several excellent reviews. They deserve more attention by attracting fans here. |

The Gabriel Construct's debut album, 'Interior City', features ex-Periphery members Travis Orbin on drums and Tom Murphy on bass. It was recorded by Garrett Davis (The Devil Wears Prada) and mixed by Taylor Larson (Periphery, Of Legends, Sky Eats Airplane). The album features a very diverse array of styles, including many influences from extreme metal. |

Their lyrics are highly inspired by Spirituality, Enlightenment, Metaphysics, Transcendence, Science, Sacred Geometry, and much more. Hoping to inspire many, together they experiment with genres ranging from Progressive Metal, Death Metal, Thrash, Jazz, Acoustic, to even a subtle sound of World music. With Syrebris, you will hear occasional soft guitars breaks leading into unforgettable riffs of rage and melodic madness.
"Aetheric Dynamics takes the listener to a place of universal symmetry filled with cosmic content of enlightenment awaiting to consume the firmament of the mind." -Elizabeth Rojas / Metal Load Executive Producer
"An up and coming exceptional Los Angeles Underground, Technical, Youthful, Death Metal band that has not only proven that they are indeed in a class of their own, but has risen to the top of The Los Angeles Underground Scene..." -Jimmy Cabbs/KNAC Radio

Alastor is well-known Polish thrash metal band. They're playing since 1986 and they're real vets of thrash genre in Poland. Their work is truly a high standard piece of thrash. I recommend to check out their latest realeses, "Spaaazm" and "Out of Anger". Here, just listen to this as example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBO4ARC8gMI . To sum up, Alastor is a very important band in Polish metal scene and I am really surprised that they're not even here on MS. |

21.05.2013 - Warman
A modern melodic black/death band with depressive lyrics. As if the Gothenburg scene went a little more to the darker side.

Everyone knows SM who is into the late 80's/early 90's glam metal scene. They were a trend following band, always playing what seemed appropriate at a time, however their album first two albums are still among the bests of the genre (looking at a wide range :P) |

Just Cause is a Speed Thrash Metal band that has consisted of members such as Gene Hoglan on drums, Devin Townsend as producer, an appearance by Chris Valagao of Zimmer's Hole, as well as other members. They've had at least one album entitled "Finger It Out". They are among of what some might consider the "Strapping Young Lad family" of bands. |

Because it is a really worth listening band from Poland. They are playing a "mixture of rock and roll and metal", according to their own site. Also there are only a few bands from Poland on Metal Storm. You should just listen to them and then decide. I recommend these few songs: "Plastic Bag", "Crimson Skies", "Last True Cowboy Manifesto" and "A Heart Beat". You can find all of them on YouTube. Enjoy!;d |

Arity is fairly unique. Check out their lyrics to see what I mean: http://lyrics.wikia.com/Arity - They are female-fronted, have 2 lead guitarists and a heavy sound. Probably the most interesting metal band in Southern California right now. |

The band's music is influenced by black/symphonic metal from Dimmu Borgir and Moonspell. As well as oriental folk bands like Orphaned Land and Melechesh. The band has one full-length album 'Stories from an Old Empire' (2007). |

Need more decent Indian metal on MS to go along with Demonic Resurrection. 'Among the Dead' EP was distributed (mainly online) in 2005 and 'Consider This' 27-minute full-length was released two years ago, to good reviews. For an idea of how they sound, check the Myspace player of Hungarian band Human Error here on MS and listen to "Concentration Army" - Exhum(IND) is more varied, more DM; more brutal, more tech, more groovy, etc... and with slightly longer songs. Can also be found on http://www.reverbnation.com/exhumationindia
