Biography

Animations is a Polish prog-fusion band that was started back in 2007 by four young, but well musically-taught musicians.

The full length Animations album was released in 2007. It contained 70 minutes of instrumental prog-fusion and made the band recognizable outside Poland, thanks to distribution from Sensory Records. The album, though positively received, left most of the listeners asking the questions about adding a vocalist to the lineup. This happened in 2008, when Dariusz "Edyta" Bartosiewicz joined the squad. The band, together with the new vocalist, recorded Reset Your Soul, a prog-power record in the vein of Pagan's Mind, Circus Maximus or Dream Theater. There were still 2 instrumental tracks on the CD. Again, the CD gained positive reception, but as it turned out, it was their last record of the kind.

Years from 2011 onward saw the band moving into a more extreme territory, greatly due to the addition of the new vocalist, Frantz Wołoch. The squad started recording new songs, which would stray towards metalcore or melodeath, but still retaining the "proggy" bits. As a result, Private Ghetto was written, but is still to be released. This should happen in the second half of 2013, as the band is finishing a deal with Mystic Productions. Though unreleased, the album has already been played in its entirety during numerous live acts, including opening for Judas Priest at the Metal Hammer Festival, as well as opening for Trivium.
