Early DAYS:
The Phoenix started to rock on 2002, with a bunch of long hair boys, looking for some new wave of brazilian heavy metal scene! Short period and their own music started to airplay on local radios and great gigs besides metal heroes such as Gamma Ray and Angra, started to happen on the band's road.
A few tours were played without having neither an album or a demo cd recorded. Band's faith always were to record a high quality album, with intense lyrics and a positive message for the fans and to the world, and for that, they just need to really focus and wait till the day they realize they were ready to produce they're best at the time!
DARKNESS AND LIGHT emerge!
That's how Darkness and Light was born. Talking about how small and like grains of sand we are, discussing why the innocence was forever lost in the birth of mankind, Scelerata inked deals worldwide (MTM/SPV, Spiritual Beast/Universal JP, Voice Music & Nightmare Recs/Universal CA) for their debut release!
D&L was finished in Germany by Dennis Ward and goes with Edu Falaschi (Angra) and Thiago Bianchi (Shaman) as special guests! The album was elected by the Rock Brigade readers poll (the most important popular vote poll in Brasil) the 3rd best metal album of 2006 right after Sepultura and Angra! D&L also entered the top 50 sales charts in Japan, getting a huge highlight by BURRN! and Young Guitar Japan magazines at the period.
TOUR TOUR TOUR!
After Scelerata having had their very first album released worldwide and completely sold out his 1st press in Brasil in 2 months of its release, the band toured Brasil in a 20 gig/2 months tour, being special guests of Edguy on their Rocket Ride Tour and special guest of Roy Z on his brazilian solo tour in 2006!
Scelerata also shared stages with Gamma Ray, Masterplan and Angra, finishing the tour with Deep Purple in an amazing evening with 9.000 fans attendance to the concert at the Gigantinho, Porto Alegre!
SKELETONS DOMINATION: a new era begins!
Now it's time for an evolution. A new beginning. It's time to re-unite our thoughts of human kind. It's time to stop and think, what we are doing with our planet, with our brothers and sisters. We don't bring anything material to the grave, just our acts, thoughts and gests!
Skeletons Domination was recorded in Brasil, mixed and mastered by
the great producer Charlie Bauerfeind (Helloween, Saxon, Blind Guardian, Halford etc) in Germany, with an amazing 10 minutes long epic song, soberb vocals, dazzling guitars, fast double basses and brilliant bass execution!
