Biography

Rhythm guitarist Adam Calderbank founded Element with drummer Rob Urquhart in 2006. Lead guitarist Andy Higham joined the band and the first gig was played at Manchester's Road House in Feburary 2007.

Bassist Alex Burnell requested to join the 3 piece having seen the bands set whilst already being in a band on the same bill.
The band went onto record the Bleed On My Own EP and play support to legendary Diamond Head and upcoming thrashers Evile.

In 2008 the band scraped enough cash together to travel to Hellfire Studios in Birmingham and record their debut album Under The Influence with Ajeet Gill in a rushed 8 days. To a great reception from press and fans the band toured all over the country in 2009 and began writing the next batch of material.

Whilst in the midst of recording the second album the band were invited to perform at the infamous Haigh Festival in Northern England in front of a 10,000 strong crowd.

The second full length album Corrupt Desires recorded by Calderbank at Urban Sound Studios, Wigan, was released May 2011 with worldwide physical and digital distribution through Casket Records. Again, the band received an overwhelmingly positive response to the new material from press and fans alike.

The band have been busy this past couple of years writing and recording their forthcoming third full length album WTF Happened To Journalism.

Recorded at Incentiv Studios, Wigan, with Paul O'Neill who has previously worked with the likes of The Verve, Saxon, Gary Barlow amongst many other well respected artists. The noise from WTF Happened To Journalism will be devaluing Paul O'Neills CV worldwide both physically and digitally November 25th, 2013 through Lucidia Music.

Having honed their craft by playing over 100 gigs across the country and releasing numerous recordings, the band decided to focus on the core of what Element do best for the forthcoming third full length album. Simple, honest, riff based hard rock/metal. Nothing more, nothing less. No trend following. No trend setting.

Music written by 4 people with a mutual passion for heavy music.
