Biography

Coming from the east coast. Annotations of an autopsy formed in late 2006 with the purpose of writing aggressive low end death metal. Influenced by bands such as Devourment, Skinless, Goratory, deicide, Decapitated, Morbid angel, deeds of flesh and cannibal corpse, Mixing old and new school death metal to forge the sound that is heard today.

In 2007 Annotations released their debut ep 'Welcome to sludge city' which instantly made a mark in the online music scene finding its way to peoples ears throughout the world and off the back off it Annotations formed a huge fan base both this side of the Atlantic and across it. Annotations tour off the back of the ep throughout 2007 achieving glowing reviews and playing to huge audiences. At the end of 2007 Annotations signed a deal with Siege of amida records and Ferret records worldwide.

In 2008 Annotations released their debut album 'Before the throne of infection' and received glowing reviews and press off the back of it and has resulted in huge features in all the major metal magazines and have been describe as ''The first British death band to make a dent in the worldwide market since carcass''. Annotations have since then toured continuously to promote 'Before the throne of infection' and have made their mark as one of if not THE most dominant force in the uk metal scene and a tight, aggressive live band, Touring & playing alongside bands such as Behemoth, Sepultura, Suffocation, job for a cowboy, hate eternal, Despised icon, suicide silence, abigail williams, Acacia strain, Beneath the massacre, The black dahlia murder , Misery index and a slot on the uk Summer slaughter tour in 2008, aswell as playing 2nd stage at the uk's biggest metal festival, Download.

After touring the UK & Europe for the past year in support of their album , Annotations just completed their first ever American tour alongside job for a cowboy & Hate eternal. Now, back from the Us after 6 straight weeks of touring Annotations will be taking time off touring and working on their 2nd album, the follow up to 2008's 'Before the throne of infection' .

The Band are currently locked away writting the 2nd album and keeping it under wraps the only imagery that has been released is a mysterious symbol they refer to as the Diabolagram. At the Hellfire fest in london on feb 21st the band previewed a new song for the first time entitled 'In snakes i bathe' showcasing just how savage the new album is going to be
