Biography

The beginnings of the band fall to the year 1994, when guitarist Libor Krivak and drummer Tomas Suchacek founded the formation called OTTER which was subsequently renamed to NEMESIS. during the years of rehearsals and changes in the line-up a few demos were recorded. This effort led to recording of the debut album with the experienced singer Vilem Majtner. It was released in spring 2003 by Italian label "Underground Symphony" and later licensed for Japan by "Hot Rockin'".

During the year 2004 the band was completed by keyboardist Ivo Hofmann and bassist Tomas Celechovsky and the attention was turned to the live performances including a few international gigs. Unfortunately, in the spring of 2005 the cofounder Tomas Suchacek left the band. This lost was luckily overcome and the summer festivals were already played by the new drummer Martin "Marthus" Skaroupka. The only support for NIGHTWISH concert in Zilina, Slovakia is considered to be the highlight of band's live activities.

In 2006 during a preparing for their new album the singer Vilem Majtner left the band and also the name of formation was changed to the current SYMPHONITY. After that the band has started to write a new chapter with the first class singer Olaf Hayer known from bands DIONYSUS, TREASURE SEEKER, solo projects of RHAPSODY guitarist Luca Turilli or metal opera AINA.

SYMPHONITY came under the "LIMB Music Products" label in late 2007 and the new album "Voice From The Silence" is planned in March 2008.
