Biography

Created in November 2006 from the ashes of Inytium, Ö-Nirik (then made up of Werty, Iome, Reno, Greg and Gonzague) recorded their first demo, Lizard Emperor, released on March 3rd, 2007. In August 2007 the band started the recording of Incoherence, consisting of nine tracks based on brutality and melody. In December 2007, Ö-Nirik signed up with Great Dane Records for the album's release, distributed by Season Of Mist in France, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.

In March 2008 Gonzague left the band for musical divergence; Hank (Nailwork) later filled the vacancy. Incoherence was officially released in June 2008. From July to June of the following year, Ö-Nirik worked on their second album Ether, recorded at Lizard Studio, mixed and mastered by Kevin at Pandele Of Wavium Studio. Problems releasing the album and constant tension growing amongst the band members eventually led to the departure of Greg and Hank in August 2009.

Ö-Nirik continues now as a studio project, the possibility of live performances ruled out.
