Bloodwritten is a Polish band founded by Bastard and Thanathos in 1997. They began as a black metal band, inspired by occult, magic, and Lovecraft stories. In 1998 Bloodwritten recorded their first demo, and in 2000, "Pages In Blood" was released, marking the band's official full-length debut. Line-up changes plagued the band's stability between 2000 and 2002, with the band finally completing their line-up before the start of 2003.

In 2004 Bloodwritten recorded their "Reborn" demo at Hertz Studio. With this release Bloodwritten adopted a more thrash-oriented sound, heavily influenced by the likes of Kreator, as well as black metal acts such as Immortal and Carpathian Forest.

In 2006 Bloodwritten recorded their sophomore full-length release, entitled "Iniquity Intensity Insanity" once again at Hertz Studio. The album was eventually released through Vinylucifer Recrords/Karthago Records in 2008.

Bloodwritten's style can be described as a mix of speed/thrash metal with black and death metal influences. Bloodwritten have since released their 2010 "Whore" EP, and "Thrashin' Fury" album through Witching Hour Prod. in late 2010.
Currently they are working on new album, which should be done in autumn 2012
