Biography

2004

- Hateform was formed in April 2004 by Tomy Laisto, Joni Suodenjärvi and Tuomas Vähämaa.

Hateform deliver some heavy fuckin thrash/Death metal that should not be ignored by anyone who calls themselves a "MetalHead".

- Soon after, Petri Nyström was auditioned to handle the vocals.
Definitely recommended!

- Hateform played their first gig in June 2004.
With a heaping of melody to accompany the rhythmic power, this is a band with great potential

- September 2004 Insomnium guitarist Ville Vänni joined to the band.
Definitely provokes a headbanging fit and possibly a car accident... caution

2005

- First studio sessions in the end of February 2005 at Fantom studio. The self-titled demo/promo achieved positive reactions in the media and some smaller record companies presented their interest in Hateform's potential.
Hateform has what it takes to become a serious deathrashing force on the metal scene.

2006

- In the beginning of 2006 Ville Vänni left from Hateform because of his medical studies and other band Insominium.
The fact that Finland can be seen as a birthplace for fine young talented bands is about to be proved another time by this death metal combo haling from that mysterious land.

- Tom Gardiner, guitarist from the bands Murdread and Scorched Earth Tactics joined the band in February 2006.
Definitely recommended to the fans of high quality death/thrash.

- Second position in Spine band contest. As a reward, Hateform was booked to play at Scooprock 2006, indoor metal festival.
I've never expected to listen to such a professional and first class deathcore!!!

I sincerely hope that the name of Hateform will be mentioned in the future when talking about Finnish Death Metal headstones.

2007

- Hateform and Retaliate promo-cd was awarded with "Demo of the month"-titles in Imperiumi.net and both Soundi and Inferno magazines.
None of us should really question the fact Hateform´s neck-breaking deathrashing explodes more holes into the ground than many other bands of a similar style.

- In the end of summer 2007 Hateform signed a record contract with 7:45 Records
Hateform have something different to offer within the usual death thrash limits. Try.

- Recording of Hateforms debut album was made in Palmgren conservatory and Ansa studio, Pori and took the time of all the weekends of October and November 2007.

2008

- Debut album, Dominance was released in the end of January 2008
A loud foreboding of impending future has been given.

2009

- People voted Hateform as a "Newcomer of the year" in Finnish metal awards. Band also achieved fifth place in "Band of the year"-category and Dominance was voted fourth in "Best cover art"-category.

- Hateform decided to go separate ways with drummer Tuomas Vähämaa in August 2009. Tuomas was replaced with Tuomo Latvala, man behind the bands Torture Killer and Demigod.
