Will Of The Ancients - Biography

This band's profile is 'invisible', meaning that it's much less prominent on the site - either because it's incomplete, or maybe doesn't entirely fit MS format.

Will of the Ancients from Toronto, Canada, formed in the winter of 2002 and released the Cold Grim Times EP in 2004, followed by their self-titled debut album on Northern Storm Records in 2006.

In 2008, Will of the Ancients' current line up came together with long-standing original members, Stephen Walton (Vocals), Tristan Biggar (Guitar) and Colin Attlesey (Keyboards) joining forces with Ryan Sequeira (Guitar), Jeff Kurkowski (Bass) and Dave Black (Drums), and the band soon set to work on bold new material.

The notoriety developed in the band's early days has since spread, building a loyal following across North America. Their reputation has been further strengthened playing alongside metal heavyweights such as Behemoth, Finntroll, Moonsorrow, Suidakra, Orphaned Land, Augury, Vreid, and Neuraxis. In addition they have toured across Canada with Battlesoul (Galy Records), Wolven Ancestry (Archaic North Records), Cryptik Howling (Cryogenic Records) and Strings of Ares (Archaic North Records).

Energized and eager to take on the world in 2011, Will of the Ancients are set to release their new full-length album, To Our Glorious Dead. On the upcoming release, founding member Tristan Biggar says, "We are really excited about this new material! We've matured as a band and that's reflected in the music - It's a bit more progressive and interesting, but the riffs and heaviness are still there in spades!"

The band is also celebrating signing with top US Management and Artist Development Company, The Inner Light Agency. Damon Moreno, of iLA says "Will of the Ancients is an epic metal band. They're relentless and solid and they live and breathe metal. I am stoked to welcome them to the iLA fold."
