Biography

Founded in summer 2004 by Guntar (bass) and Emanuel (guitar), the era of September Murder began. The band's initial goals were playing some cover songs, collecting ideas and making music with some friendly bands. First song arrangements were turned into practice in summer 2005 when Stefan (drums) joined the band. During the following months, the band started to create their own interpretation of death metal. But it was not until a year later when Olli (vocals) completed the line-up and contributed his part to the existing songs. In the first half of 2007, September Murder played about 20 shows in Germany with bands from allover Europe. This was helpful for the preparation of their first studio date with Jens Martinek at Schmiedeberg 7 Studios in May. The same year in August, the recorded material was released on the self-produced EP, "After Every Setting Sun", which has subsequently been sold worldwide and raked in top reviews by the national and international press. Thanks to the overwhelming press feedback, September Murder attracted the attention of some labels and finally found Maintain Records as an appropriate partner. In spring 2008, the writing process for the first album began. Meanwhile, the band kept destroying stages. Already in the beginning creating period, the band has made good progress. Free of any external influences, September Murder concentrated on what they can do best...playing fucking death metal! In Autumn of 2008, the band returned to Schmiedeberg 7 Studios and began to record the new shit. Some weeks later, Peter Neuber from Mega Wimp Sound Studios put the finishing touches to the songs and the monster named "Agony In Flesh" finally saw the light of day. Shortly after the recordings but still in the production process, Stefan (drums) left the band. Nevertheless, September Murder didn't go from bad to worse, as a more than appropriate replacement was found with Clemens (Hidden In The Fog, ex-Disillusion). "Agony In Flesh" was released in February 2009 on Maintain Records and contained 8 bestial death metal tracks.
