Biography

Aenaon is a black metal band that incorporates experimental and death metal elements into their sound, formed as an idea somewhere in central Greece from Thyragon and Draugen in 2005.

In June 2006, Astrous joined the band and took over vocal and lyric duties, while Vanghmar filled the vacant rhythm section slot. Aenaon began working on material, and the first rehearsals were made... The following year, Achilleas C. came on board to fill the second guitar slot. Aenaon performed a lot of rehearsals and started the recordings of their debut EP, Phenomenon. Meanwhile, Aenaon released a promo CD under the title Promo 2007.

Achilleas eventually left the band in 2008; a few weeks later, Dagwn took his place. Aenaon also signed with the Canadian Bleak Art Records in the beginning of the year.

The Phenomenon EP was released on September 22, 2009. Draugen and Vanghmar left the band for different reasons towards the end of the year, and the vacant guitarist position was taken once again from one of their first guitarists, Achilleas. With this line-up the band began changing their sound. In the middle of August, Aenaon released A Parallel Zoetrope split 7' with the Romanian band Satanochio. This split released from Floga Records and Orkestral Promenade Productions was limited to just 500 copies worldwide.

In 2011 Aenaon signed with Code666, and their first full-length album - Cendres Et Sang was released. The album took over a year to produce, having been recorded at several studios and mastered one more time by Tom Kvalsvoll from Strype Studios in Norway, and illustrated by Lukasz Wodynski and characterized by many great guest vocalists, piano and saxophone sections.

2012: "Er" song was recorded for the 7" inch split with Stielas Storhett (Rus), released by Possession Productions. Limited to 300 copies.

2013: Aenaon began again playing live. The compilation "Spheres of Orion" released by Razorbleed Productions in a pro black cassette strictly limited to 100 hand numbered copies (including two previously unreleased tracks).

2014: Aenaon re-signed to Code666. The second full album "Extance" was released.
