Absence Of The Sacred has grown to be one of the leading forces in the Asian metal scene since their inception in 2005 with three full-length albums, two EP's and an official music video.

A constantly evolving band, Absence Of The Sacred infuses elements from various sub-genres of extreme metal into a flowing yet twisted technical attack on the senses.

Absence Of The Sacred has been featured and well-received in numerous local and international publications including Metal Hammer, Zero Tolerance, Metal Maniacs, The New Paper, Today, Live Magazine, Junk Magazine, Time Out Magazine, Blabbermouth.net, Metal Storm, Metal Magazine, Cherish The Darkness Magazine, MTV Headbangers Ball Blog, The Sunday Leader. The band has also received international airplay of their songs on radio, featured on national TV in Asia as well as web podcasts and their albums distributed in Asia, Europe and USA.

The band has played in major local metal festivals as well as notable metal festivals around the region such as Colombo Open Air 2011 (Sri Lanka) and Bangcock 2008 (Thailand).

Absence Of The Sacred was also the first professional metal act in Singapore that was given a resident spot in a weekly event "Heart Of Darkness" at a local club called The Gas Haus, which ran successfully for almost a year. Plans for tours are in the works for 2012.

With their latest third full-length studio album Come Hither O Herald Of Death, the current line-up of the band features members and ex-members from Impiety, Dååth and Dying Fetus. Guest musicians on the album include members from visceral and established metal acts such as Chthonic, Dawn Of Azazel and Spearhead.
