Biography

Rev 16:8 was born from the ashes of Bloodshed in early 2008. Initially consisting of a five piece: Themgoroth, Nefastus, Ill, Pata and Talon. A promo-pack was soon recorded and the first gigs scheduled in Germany.

The recording of the first studio album entitled Grand Tidal Rave started in late 2008 with the band's core members Pata, Nefastus and Talon. It was later released by Temple Of Darkness Records in 2009. The first full-length received top scores in several magazines and was voted album of the month in Haven Metal, France.

Continuing as a group of three, the start of 2010 was spent spawning new material and come mid-year the band entered Necromorbus Studio for the recording of the second full-length album entitled Ashlands. Additional completive work was done simultaniously in Creeper Sounds, Stockholm. Ashlands is to be released by AFM Records on April 8th, 2011.

The driving influence for Rev 16:8 is life, its continually tainting canvas, its frail ground and its glorious insignificance. The goal is for the music and the words to form the perfect expression of utter disgust. The combination is a celebration to the mind and to the tortures of what life is.

As of February 2012, the band is no more.
