Anubis - Biography

This band's profile is 'invisible', meaning that it's much less prominent on the site - either because it's incomplete, or maybe doesn't entirely fit MS format.

Biography

In 1995 Matthias writes "Still Falls The Rain". Together with Christoph he founds Anubis and they play "Still Falls The Rain".

Then Ramin joins, then Dirk. And they still play "Still Falls The Rain". But also other songs. They play live, then Mario joins the band. They play "Still Falls The Rain" but also "She Died In September." That also is the title of their demo, which they record in 1996. But "Still Falls The Rain" is not on it. The old songs get recorded for the second demo "Things You Never Know" in 1997. Live they play new songs and old ones, but always also "Still Falls The Rain". Mario sings, Matthias, too. But he also has to play guitar. That's not easy, but is fun. Now Jonas plays keyboards, because the new songs need keyboards. But not on "Still Falls The Rain", which doesn't need one.

Matthias writes new songs and Myriam enters the band. Mario accuses Matthias that he does not believe in god and gets thrown out of the band. Matthias renames the band Age Of Innocemce and writes a Christian album called "Pictures From Inside". Two months later it is Anubis again, but still records "Pictures From Inside".

Then they play many concerts, but no "Still Falls The Rain" anymore. Ramin says that Matthias could not sing, so Jan joins and becomes the singer. Myriam accuses Matthias that he is a dictator and is thrown out of the band. Mathhias then writes an album about fascism and Babsi joins the band. Anubis record "Dying Of Utopia" and "Heroin(e)" and play many concerts. Jan leaves the band and Matthias writes an album about war. Anubuss record "Kassandra" and get a record deal. Now they play many concerts again, but somehow "Still Falls The Rain" is missing. Maybe they will play it in summer 2003, because then Anubis will play again after recording their album without Mario, Myriam and Jan, but with Seppl, Matthias, Ramin, Dirk, Christoph and of course Babsi.
