Biography

It all began with Pontus and Fredde were friends beeing in the same class and everything. They started to try some cool riffs together in Pontus´former bands rehearsal place. Pretty shortly some killer music was done and they needed a drummer. A guy callad Adam Hobér was available. He had played drumms for several years and just recently left a black metal band called Enthralled. Not that fond of metal anymore they easily convinced him to join the band anyway. Beeing one of the fastest one on the kicks they really wanted him in the band.

They picked a name, Rage Anthem, and recorded their first demo-cd named "Fire Desires". A few good songs thou rather bad soundings overall. After a wile they changed name to Wargasm instead, a proposal from Pontus older brother, Henke Hardrock. They played live many times at local arrangements and actually had a small group of fans. They visited Sutare Studios and recorded their second demo and then, after perhaps two years together drummerboy Adam decided to move to Norway and try making some money.

At that time an old friend to Pontus called Simon Jarrolf sometimes jamed with the boys. At the time of the demo-recording he hanged around lojaly. Beeing an awesome guitarist it felt pretty stupid having him playing the bass, but that was what was missing in the band, so they welcomed Simon without a doubt, but now there was a lack of a drummer instead. Erik Wallin from Enköping was recruted. A real proffessional with an awesome rythm. Wargasm was now complete and with members all having the right attetude and the will to produce mean metal. They changed name to Vicious and contuinued rockin'..

After perhaps 15 months together Erik decided to drop out from the band. He did his last show the 13th of september and since then Fredde has been hammering the drums. As told before in "news" a brilliant bass-player called Jakob agreed to whenever needed help us out. Simon and Pontus plays therefore the guitars again. The situation maybe appear to be a bit confused, but they can assure you that the frame in Vicious always will be intact. The music is getting harder, faster, more technical and better all the time. Fredde is fast behind his drums, nowadays the songs contains real "två-takt" and "grind", which where lacking before.

Vicious got 9 points out of 10 in issue nr.54 of Close-up. The track "High On Fire" is included on the "Soundcheck-cd". Now they were working with new material and carefully looked for a singer to perform live. (Fredde ain't givin' up the mic totally, ofcourse.. calm down.) The singer should have qualities simular to Fredde's and not afraid to "sing-along" a bit with the music. Henke Wenngren from Skyfire started in the band and he fitted perfectly.

Then Vicious got the record deal with Sound Riot Records. They spent some time in the supurb Studio Underground and recorded their debut album, "Vile, Vicious & Victorious". An old friend to to the band joined in as a permanent member playing the bass, Alexander Savander. Nowadays they're rocking as hell. Cheers!
