Biography
After he had been planning and thinking about a project for 2 years that would eventually be known as 'Monads', H. asked G. to get together to write music. The first rehearsal/writing session was done on 15 January 2011. The result of this session was 'The Stars are Screaming', which would be the first song on 'Intellectus Iudicat Veritatem', less than 8 months later.
The first demo, 'Intellectus Iudicat Veritatem', was released on 10 September 2011. It was also the first live performance of the band.
There were 50 tapes available, they were sold out less than a week after that.
The band's first full-length album 'IVIIV' was created over a period of almost six years,
starting in 2011 and coming to its final form in 2017. It was released December 20, 2017 through Aesthetic Death Records.
The term "Monad" is used to describe the idea of a person as a focal point of consciousness within a sea of greater consciousness, and it is believed that all things that can be considered a unity unto themselves constitute a monad as well.
