Biography
Imperial Age was created in 2012 by Aor after he disbanded his previous band Revelance. Recorded with famous Russian musicians, the first album Turn The Sun Off! received positive acclaim worldwide and sold around 1000 copies outside Russia just from the bands own webshop, without any label support.
The follow-up EP Warrior Race was recorded with world-famous musicians - Fabio Lione on vocals, Daray on drums, Sergei Lazar on growls and Vladimir Reshetnikov on bagpipes. The EP was mixed and mastered by Lazar and Imperial Age signed a contract with the biggest Russian metal label Sound Age Productions.
Warrior Race features the song "To Mega Therion", approved by Cristofer Johnsson personally.
After that the band changed lead singers. Aor, who sang on the first two CDs, now moved to the keyboards and the new lead singer became Alexandra Sidorova - a professional singer, choirmaster and conservatory graduate, whose choir is singing on all Imperial Age songs. The band also received the permanent line-up which can be seen today.
