Tracks

01. Do They Ever Sing?

Child: Do the children ever sing?
The Beautiful: Alas, they do not sing but songs of woe and
Remembrance.
Child: Do the children ever dance?
The Beautiful: Alas, they can dance no more.
Child: Do the children ever laugh?
The Beautiful: Alas, their laughter can be heard no longer.
Child: Do the children ever play?
The Beautiful: Alas, their days of playing have long since
Ended.
Child: Do the children ever sleep?
The Beautiful: Alas, the children cannot sleep. They can only
Dream.
Child: Do the children ever cry?
The Beautiful: Alas, I do regret, they forever cry tears of
Sadness.
Child: Do the children ever love?
The Beautiful: Alas, they can love no more.
Child: Do you love the children?
The Beautiful: I love all of my children, yet I fear they cannot
Love me.
Child: Do you love me?
The Beautiful: I shall love thee forever, my dearest one. Sleep
Now, as we enter this endless memory together, and see thy death
Awakened all in a moment

02. This, My Melancholic Masquerade

[The Cast]

[The Beautiful:] Ancient queen of the earthen season and her name is Autumn]
[Wisdom: Lord Of The ancient, majestic garden, All knowing, all seeing]
[Benevolence: Conscience of Autumn. The side of light and hope]
[The Child: Child of Autumn. Her sole, dearest companion]
[Deciet: Black angel of lies and misery, the dark side of Autumn]

[The Beautiful: ]
Hear me... O valiant sister, reveal to me, this archaic image
Awakened, I find no passage within these arcane illusions
Hath I but found my eternity manifested within me
This mask of shattered divinity do I now wear

Endless black skies surround my freedom
The ravens cry out for my undoing, how beautiful their songs are to me
Hopelessly, I envision fragile winds sweeping away my spirit
Leaving behind my barren epitaph, taking me to my eternity... my garden

Vanquished foes, fear not my destiny
Take this empty shell which is my body
And free my dying brood from endless millennia
One child, one god, one wish, one dream, one heart, one life, one final victory
O hear me... I'm in pain

03. Dreaming Kiss, A

Lips of glass
Their touch so deep
Cold, enchanting bliss
The dying dreams, I take unto my love
Her embrace to carry me beyond death
I wish...

A deepening woe, a shadow of life
Hindering my dying dreams
But jus one kiss, I beg of thee my love
To dry my ever flowing stream of tears
I wish...

Unfortunate is the one who suffers
For there is no comfort in death
Only one single hope...

My love given and not taken without burden
May we love one another freely
Without fear of abandonment
Watch me as I die painlessly
A thousand times
The sweet, sweet agony of my being
Ever am I alone

Sadness... a kiss passionate sorrow
Of a time to come of divine unity
O my love, take us to our ebony meadow
Together we stand
Amidst the moonlit for and snow
I wish...

Beloved darkness, to you I plead
Give but a wakeful moment
Of tragic lust
A kingdom of carnal pleasure
A garden of crystalline dreams

04. So Sweet... The Tears

Wings of sorrow
Lift me from sleep
My eternal spirit
Uneasy in its wake

My mind like that of a child
Locked within
The tainted walls of grief

I scream
To free my soul a tribute to my pain
And hatred

My imbalance, my lust for both worlds
They are two, yet they are one

Find me
And guide me
Lift me from this shadow
Of death

05. Commiseration In Mourning

My forbidden desire
Shone deeply within mine eyes
Archaic visions awakened
Hidden beneath forgotten memories
Seemingly endless phantoms
Parading
Devilish apparitions
Dance amidst the folly
Of my sleeping drama
I hear their cries
Bathing in moonlight
This lascivious breed I scorn
My raven skies embellished
With traces of bloodless depravity
I speak of celestial adoration
Divine lamentation
And tears of infinite mourning...
My utopia do I cover
And hate being my truest form of love
My nemesis unmasked
My own face do I see

Torn in silence
I hath seen the majestic beauty
Of darkened landscapes and ivory gates
O what fools can they not see I am lost
Endless battles they fight for my soul
No pity, no comfort do I now ask
Let me suffer alone in my own misery
My children shall never abandon me
Poor souls can they not see they are mine
A dying rose do I now give to each of them
An eternity of my love and death
Ornamental disgrace as they envision
Their dying savior before me
As his children to forever become mine

Ashen mortality
A faceless entity within them
How is it that I feel
Their saddened wishes?
Time passes... dreams die...
And I silently kiss away their lives

06. Garden Of Crystalline Dreams, The (Act One)

[Wisdom: ]
I deny thee entrance in my beautiful garden
For it is not thee who hath corrupted mankind, than who?
Thou shalt spend the eternity in contemplation... of thy sins

[The Beautiful: ]
O please, sorrow and remorse, I beg of thee
Have pity, I do repent, show thy mercy upon me
Grant me passage beyond my hateful life

[Wisdom: ]
Foolish one, I cannot allow thy soul to remain free
I do pity thee, yet you are beyond my grasp
You belong to the other, I cannot sever that which binds thee
To enter my kingdom, thou must first cleanse thy soul

Hath I never sailed upon infinite shores of sin
The inner glory suppressed only by the shadow of fear
To find oneself buried so deeply in uncertainty
The delicate threads of hope tirelessly fray...

[The Beautiful: ]
Am I to suffer my eternity tormented by phantoms of being?
Is there no hope for one dying, pleading soul?
Of so, then I shall not suffer alone

[Benevolence: ]
Thou must find thy soul and release thy hatred
Within thyself may thou find the dreams to change thy fate
Only then may these ivory gates open for thee

[Deceit: ]
Listen not to the lies of those whom hath condemned thee
Art thou to trust whom hath taken that which was thine
Seek not love, but hatred and vengeance
Then only my thee find ease for the severed heart

07. Battle, The (Act Two)

[Deceit: ]
Now must choose O' wretched soul, for thyself, thou must choose
Choose to take or be taken, to be tortured by thy
Sorrow by giving into thy reluctance and pity
Go then, if thou must, to die a miserable wretch within
Thy blackened kingdom

[Benevolence: ]
Listen not to the lies of false humanity
Only through purification of thy spirit may rest be found
Anger shall not soothe thy ever aching heart
The only promises kept are ones made from thyself

[Wisdom: ]
Take now this finality of injustice... I shall offer thee no mercy
To rid thyself of false identity thou must free this soul dammed by thee
Thy child to be released by life taken from thee
And this soul of one so full of everlasting youth shall be returned unto me
Dare to awaken my vengeance with thy defiance
To this your death in life I shall forever condemn thee
Heed this last warning, my pitiful soul
For when I vanquish thy breed... they shall all become mine

[Child: ]
Take not my life, o beautiful earthen mother
For now I shall retain my youth granted from thee forever
As I was taken I now take and wish to remain in thy shadow
Take not my life, for together we shall unveil this fragile earth

[Deceit: ]
Heed the words spoken, seek no longer an answer
If it be not enough, then for thy pride only bow to none
Let those who would take thy only possession from thee
Be cast in amber flames and eternal darkness

[The Beautiful: ]
My mind, a tangled mass of utter confusion
The conquest for my soul, a struggle tearing me apart
If I must act to rid myself of the scourge within me
Then by and by my soul be damned, so it shall be done

[Benevolence: ]
If thou dost truly love thy child and whish to cleanse thy soul of sin
Thy immortal life extinguished and all thy children to find rebirth
Thy flesh must remain within the earth while thy soul shall await judgement

[Deceit: ]
Be not a fool, for thy slumber may wait and remain indifferent
Thy mask shall fall and then turn to dust
Shouldst thou renounce thyself and venture into the realm of light
Thy chains shall remain forever

08. Ebony Meadow, The (Act Three)

Crosses of silk, soil of stone and streams of blood
Winds sing sorrowful melodies of a youthful earth
The trees hang their heads in baneful prayer
We listen in wonder to the tales of the moon

[The Beautiful: ]
May I watch the stillness pass me by
May I forever choose to embrace the light, imprison by laughter
My waking wisdom serves me less to my conscience
Remove my spirit from the wind, I shall remain forever
O' chivalrous, O' heavenly garden
Choose me for but one more task

09. Shadow Painted White, A

A rose for the dead ones...
Sometimes they want to die
Sometimes they want to live
When they live they come to me
When they die they are silent

No tender mercy shall I give as they plead for us
Without remorse I shall take their lives
Silently in chaotic passion
From their impending, mindless presence
Reaping the emptiness within
My blackened eyed the last horror they shall see

Damned am I... no
For there is no damnation my soul hath not taken
Shall I be swayed in my vengeance
As time tears open my wounds?
I think not!

10. Black Heaven

[Deceit: ]
What a precious mistake thou has made
A fool you hath made of me
...so be it
I take thee now with
Vengeance and fury
My wrath shall I beset
Upon the souls of innocence

See me now
As I spread my darkening wings
Pity them as they
Speak my name in vain
My divine pleasure taken
In watching them die
Thus, ever they shall suffer as I do

Ornate wisdom
Revealed in mine eyes
I shall sip the wine
Of tumultuous life
My kiss and a promise
I shall give thee now
Never shall I weep
As they cry out my name

A hymn to my wandering light
Blackening sun, emptiness
Taste victory unquenched
Throughout my millennia
Embodied by this distortion
Of my withering stare

Fools, have thy moment of glory
As my blanket of death unfolds
Upon thy children
Watch my glorious triumph in hatred
Regret thy error as I take them:
One by one

[Wisdom: ]
A mask I wear of infinite gestures
A vale of dusk beyond my jaded horizon
Death for thee hath many faces
Life hath but only one

[Deceit: ]
Prepare thyself for my victorious era
As showers of blood spill forth upon thee
From the ebony gates
Of my black heaven
