01. Sole Passenger

Music & lyrics by Marius Strand
Under flocking grey clouds,
A gathering hounding to lay the ground
I walked under water,
I ventured with uncertain footsteps
Towards the sound of a cold bell.

Mere, yet harsh rings were
Like my merciless destiny:
Hastily awaiting the arrival
Of no one but my very self.

My lunar shadow
Still glared by my side,
Refusing to ease off its grasp.

Tired old doors
Finally closed behind
My near crumbled self.

All heard was my hammering heart.
In this forsaken carriage
It was to begin.

As I could once again
Unfold my neglected body,
Dust spiralled its way
Around my pale thin hands,
Around arms with terror's marks,
Which I had learned to look past.

Dead surroundings,
Yet in the ground where I stood,
Like in sand,
The somehow welcome traces
Of life were imprinted.

The flickering lights
From outside passed away, one by one.

Farewell to this familiar place of grief.
If only the beauty of the emptiness will share with me its solace.

It had called for me, the vast,
Dark outside of the city.

Had convinced me to leave,
With its voice of consolation.

These velvet words touched
Me like nothing human.

In a land of plundering ghouls,
Its promises solely held me
Onto the branches of life.

The avid rain from outside of the glass
Was like my feelings,
Ready to cast its waves upon me,
Yet ricocheted from my walls.
Had not stepped on board here to drown,
Had a wish to still float.

02. The Mammoth

Music & lyrics by Marius Strand
As a creature of extinction,
It had walked the earth,
Trembling the weak with its careless steps.
Sharpened its tusks.

Gathered his flock,
Skinless were led into winter.
Only the mammoth survived the biting cold.
Alone it reigned, trampling their bones.

Unmindful on an empty windswept ground,
It monstrously came marching down.
To find new marionettes,
Something to sacrifice.
But there, up on its back was a blind passenger.

With rage it pulled its
Gorefeet up towards the blizzard sky.
Berserk, it dragged its head from side to side.

Yet its unknown rider managed to hang on.
For a moment tamed this monster.

With growls of insanity it
Kicked and pounded the ground down,
Forming craters of anger.

Still, its unknown rider managed to hang on.
For a moment tamed this monster.

Powerless, all it could do was obey.
But its passenger was bewildered
About which way would lead to her safety,
And which way with life she would pay.
The beast turned and mounted the top,
Towards its survival and her frostbitten death.

The inevitable cold.
Her whitening face.
Inescapably destined
To kill the lives it led.

Massive, it controlled them.
Their addiction, on which it fed.
They failed to see that its
Conviction was of no mercy, of no good deeds.

Gathered his flock,
Skinless were led into winter.
Only the mammoth survived the biting cold.
Alone it reigned, trampling their bones.
All beings were its enemies.
Could not waste its life on them.
Was frightened when this one nearly steered its course.
Knew not yet its course would come to an end.

The mammoth laid her down.
Its rider, its last victim.
Fear now lit up in its eyes.
Had killed the Innocence. Aurelia.

03. A Portrayal

Music by Marius Strand
[Instrumental]

04. Aurelia

Music & lyrics by Marius Strand
With her empty eyes,
And her skin as a disguise,
Qalks upon the water.
The surface won't hold her,
And no one will catch her.
No one will even dare to take her by her hand,
Her poisonous fingers.

She dives down,
And the further she gets,
The more the sense of alienation is dragged out of her core.

From the wandering shadows on shore,
From the faceless beings,
From delusion, from nothing to grasp,
From her repulsive shell,
She is swimming further down,
Towards the black deep.

But beyond the abyss she'll never go, now trapped in this infinite space.

Climb out, Aurelia,
Climb out, Aurelia,
Climb out, Aurelia,
Climb out, Aurelia,
Where no one can see you... where no one can see you.

From the hurrying ghosts above sea, from from the faceless beings,
From the traitor that lived in her veins,
From her repulsive shell,
She is swimming further down,
Towards the black deep.
But beyond the abyss she'll never go,
Now trapped in this infinite space

Climb out, Aurelia,
Where no one can see you...
Climb out, Aurelia,
Where no one can see you...
Climb out, Aurelia,
Where no one can see you...

05. Come, Waves

Music & lyrics by Marius Strand
With marble eyes she lay there.
Her stare now led her nowhere.

A mere child he brought under his wings,
Wings of anything but pride.

Had brought upon her parts of his life,
Disallowed a child to be child.
A being that, unable to fly,
He caged and left to sink.

Knew well that once sun"s rays appeared,
Care and her life would have no link.
His frail and split mind had convinced
Himself to not try.

With her in his hands,
He convinced himself to not cry.

"Farewell to this familiar place of grief.
If only the beauty of the emptiness
I now face will share with me its solace.

It had called for me,
The vast, dark outside of the city.
Had convinced me to leave,
With its voice of consolation.

These velvet words touched me
Like nothing human.
Its promises solely held me onto
The crooked branches of life.

The avid rain from outside
Of the glass was like my feelings,
Ready to cast its waves upon me.
Come then, waves. Break through. Come."
