The name "Chthonic" is a Greek word which refers to the earth and can have implications of the underworld. Chthonic (pronounced [thon-ick]), is an adjective pertaining to deities, spirits or creatures that dwell in the underworld. Chthonic is derived from the Greek god of the underworld with the phonetic translation into Mandarin as Shan-ling. |
