The band was granted refugee status in the United States in 2009.

Acrassicauda were featured in the documentary film "Heavy Metal In Baghdad".

By the end of 2005, Tony went to Syria in order to work, one year later, Marwan did the same thing, so the band reformed there. The band relocated to Istanbul, Turkey.

Acrassicauda is the latin name of a black scorpion species (Androctonus Crassicauda).
