In 2012 Hamferð won the Wacken Metal Battle Føroyar 2012, which meant an opportunity to play at Wacken Open Air 2012. Eventually the band also won the Wacken Metal Battle 2012 by beating no less than 28 other finalist bands. With this victory the Faroese not only won a worldwide record deal with Nuclear Blast Records but also a whole series of material prizes like a Marshall Full-Stack, Washburn guitars and Paise Boomer cymbals. |
