Santeri Ojanen, who actually is a brother to Oddland's vocalist/guitarist Sakari Ojanen, directed Oddland's first music video "In The Eyes Of The Mourning".

During the year of 2011 Oddland won the Suomi Metal Star -contest at the Finnish Metal Expo and was signed by Century Media Records.

During the years of 2007-2008 Sakari had an exchange year in Spain.
