sp how much are the tickets????
and if its all on the same day, im not going (FUCK MOONSPELL) |
| I hope they play old albums not new |
nothing is announced in lebanon yet, as for the dates, for sure all on the same day, as far as i can see, moonspell will open for to/die/for who in turn will open for the strokes which is bullshit IMHO.
moonspell deserve to be the leading act here .. |
Looks like it is a 3 day event, with 50 bands participating.
Weird it is in about 2 weeks and the promotion for this event is kinda lame. This should be better advertised. |

Finally some gd music!! Moonspell ... they should lead the event.
Gd thing that the lebanese ppl are starting to accept this awesome music... |
great news for lebanese metalheads!50 bands that is giongto be awesome!
I hope everything goes well as planned. |
well iam sure most of the 50 bands will be local or form the reagion, and thus most will be either cheap nu-metal (not the good nu-metal), rock, alternative, and for sure the CURE wanabees.
all in all, i guess seeing moonspell live is worth this thing..
PROVE ME WRONG FESTIVAL, PLEASE |

wow! that's gonna be a very sick concert! m/
its gr8 to see that lebanese metal scene is flourishing lately!
all hail!
| LoL no comment !! btw whos doin this event ? |
oki so the bands list has been posed on the website, it seems to be a music festival and not a metal festival. most of the bands are from europe. not a bad start, but would love to see a full day of metal if it would be possible..
anyway lets hope and see what happens |
whats up with all that indie !! |

| well the gig has been moved to 28th - 31st ... editing the info |
| thats weird, it has already been edited yet nothing has changed on this page??? |
yayks, moved on such a short period to the actual dates, was there a reason why it was postponed to the following weekend?
Edit: Some bad news, according to Bravewords To/Die/For has cancelled its participation:
Quote: Greetings from Finland,
First the bad news. We had to cancel the Lebanon show (originally scheduled for August 24th as part of the Big Bang Festival), because they changed the dates and we are not available on those new days. It is very sad but the studio is booked for us at the same time as the new dates (August 28th to 31st).
The other thing is that there is a lot of new stuff coming and it's most important for us to handle the new songs first |

Hey Moonspell and New Model Army, that's quite cool You guys might want to check Arca too, if you're interested in good post-rock. |
| Is this all? Moonspell is the only outstanding band. |
its NOT gona work out!!!!!!
theyre gonna cancel it trust me!!!!!! |
| still no news, no commercials, no radio ospots. how is this so. i mean even though moonspell is not THAT famous STILLLLLLLLLL ... what about the 50 other bands. why do i have a feeling that this will go on and not alot will come becasue of bad planning and not enough marketing on it. |
| this has been the summer of cancelled gigs with no rival, first casa in morocco, then two fests here in tunisia, and now beirut's turn ! |
bullcrap ... the reason why they canceled the festival was becasue they didnt do anything right. not the political situation. it cannot be any calmer now.
damn idiots dontknow how to do anything, and plus getting 50 bands/acts in just 3 weeks time is near imposibble. dont blame the politics on this, you make us look worse.

who is blaming politics? it's irrelevant,I just wanted those events to take place that's all. |
no most of the updates had said that the festival was cancelled because of the political situation
all i have to say is that they are all a load of DUMBASSES!WTF?!?!?!?!political situation????????waht how they thing we're stupid??
its not the pilitical situtuin, its those dumb shits that dont kno anything about organizing a festival... |
| I think the organizers did not know what they were doing, nothing was right, the website just got working and not even completely just less than 10 days from the original date. And yeah getting 65 bands (it was 50 they added 15 more!) in three days w/o promoting the event is dumb, it takes many months to promote it to get the fans and sponsors in. How in hell were they gonna pay for all the air tickets/hotels/catering etc?! This is terrible. |
