OMFG ! Hypnos playing to the BA !!! I'm waiting for some other names, but it's really interesting !!!
Valentin B - 29.11.2009 at 11:56
Interesting line-up, very varied, but not for me.
Ellrohir - 29.11.2009 at 14:25
So far there isnt a single name that would really interested me...maybe Graveworm...Masters Of Rock seems much better so far

Ellrohir - 29.11.2009 at 21:29
Now when you say that, i dont see any official link too...just rumors...rumors about Delain, Queensrÿche, Michael Kiske, Sabaton, Behemoth, Accept, Masterplan, Epica, Primal Fear, Tarja, Manowar, Lordi...

EDIT Manowar confirmed, http://www.manowar.com/tour.html , Queensryche too http://www.queensryche.com/tour/

krasna huh?
AyΣm - 30.11.2009 at 09:26
XD Children of Bodom added, this year's line up will have nothing in common with last year, which was very violent !
Arsen - 01.12.2009 at 10:16
Damn, last confirmations (COB and Ill Nino) are really gay and not suitable to Brutal Assault.
Otherwise I think it's gonna be great, I'm happy for CC, Converge, Devourment and My Dying Bride

I wouldn't say gay, I would say this year will be open for a larger audience... sorry I was joking, I agree with you that this year is a little bit surprising, this summer we had Immortal, Testament, Suffocation, Misery Index and Marduk. This year we'll have Children of Bodom, Ill Nino, and why not Evanescence and Bullet for my valentine ...Fortunately we have CC and Hypnos to show Brutal Assault is not yet Teenagers Assault.

I was there this year, and the year before that and the year before that. I have made it a tradition to fly to Brutal Assault every summer even though it takes my salary for half a year to do this. And every year the line-up was perfect for me. I hope they don't spoil it, cuz I'm already starting to take into consideration other fests like Hellfest and Summer Breeze.
Well, we'll see, I still have faith in BA, these couple of misunderstandings doesn't prove that it's gone bad yet

Yes, I'm sure some great f**king death/black bands will be added, Ill Nino was lost somewhere ... xD
I was there last year too, it was great ! Perhaps I'll go this summer, I really enjoyed the 14th edition. For the moment , Hellfest is much more interesting... Behemoth, Arch Enemy, Immortal, Necrophagist, The Faceless and Decapitated...
Arsen - 12.12.2009 at 20:09
OMGOMGOMG I'm excited like a 14 year old Chinese schoolgirl at her first bukake!!!
Ihsahn, Sigh, Dying Fetus, Origin, Mnemic & Rotten Sound are confirmed for BA!!!
I knew this COB & Ill Nino thing was just a misunderstanding!
BA is the best as always!
Vitriolic Hate - 13.12.2009 at 20:58
Interesting line-up!
Glabrezu - 06.02.2010 at 12:58
2009 Edition was incredibly better...
Arsen - 08.02.2010 at 09:52
I agree
Holy Man - 10.02.2010 at 18:44
Dude... that's a sweet fuckin lineup...
AnarChrist - 11.02.2010 at 15:43
Hypocrisy, Ragnarok and Arsis added. I couldn't help but notice that the festival takes place 12-14 august, not 2-4 as marked here...

Oh yeah, indeed. Wouldn't make much sense to have such a festival running from Monday til Wednesday, would it?
Fixed and thanks for the heads up.
Introspekrieg - 14.02.2010 at 22:49
Devin Townsend, Ihsahn, Gojira, My Dying Bride, Necrophagist, Diablo Swing Orchestra, Sigh... (the list goes on). I think this festival is right for me. Buying a plane ticket soon.
AyΣm - 22.02.2010 at 15:44
Will Necrophagist be here this year? They cancel all the dates all the time...
Introspekrieg - 25.02.2010 at 01:23
Is this event no longer supported by Metal Storm?
Arsen - 26.02.2010 at 22:40
Introspekrieg, you got a great taste in music. Maybe we can hook up during the fest, drink couple of bears while discussing music and stuff

Definitely, I am really looking forward to this festival
Arsen - 03.03.2010 at 15:42
Macabre confirmed! Alright!
And Ensiferum
Baz Anderson - 03.03.2010 at 16:15
I am so jealous... Macabre... if there was ever a band I wanted to see more...
Valentin B - 16.03.2010 at 14:52
What the hell i didn't know Bal-Sagoth played live

them and Ahab are confirmed.
Baz Anderson - 16.03.2010 at 19:12
Bal-Sagoth at this now too... two of the bands I've always wanted to see but never got chance...
Arsen - 16.03.2010 at 23:06
This is where BA shines. They always have exclusive bands not seen anywhere else.
I'm so fucking happy for Bal Sagoth and Macabre. Both are from my top 10 wanted-to-see-live list.
Baz Anderson - 17.03.2010 at 13:48
Shame is, even if I wanted to go - I can't because it is the same dates as Bloodstock.

Still, Bal-Sagoth have played at Bloodstock before, so maybe they will again this year. I can hope for that at least.
whiteadi - 23.03.2010 at 10:47
Gojira, Diablo Swing Orchestra, Hypocrisy!!! Candlemass...

draconia - 01.06.2010 at 06:19
A must for me every year. really good line up + Gojira's like a cherry on a cake.
Slovenc88 - 16.08.2010 at 14:04
It was ok, but the organisation is fuck up, nobody speaks English or Deutsch, so for not Czech Republic speaking people it is quite hard. And if you think that this was the 15th Brutal Assault you've expected a little bit more from the organisators.

Bud what goes around the music and the bands it was brutal

Yes, it was a very alienating place for me as an English-speaker. The organizers must be out of their minds not having water readily available inside the concert area, and getting anything non-alcoholic was a huge pain in the ass. I've been puking and shitting for the last two days from dehydration (almost wasn't able to get on my plane), but I guess it's my fault for drinking the only thing seemingly available - beer, constantly under the scorching sun. The meet and greet tents were cool, but meeting Devin Townsend was such bullshit. I waited in line 1 and a half hours before he was due up and got stuck behind people waiting for Cannibal Corpse (who was due up after) and saw people continually cut in line (which happened at a lot of places there, is it a Czech thing?) and didn't get to meet him. The whole thing was very disorganized and lacking common sense. But it was cheap and had a decent lineup so kind of breaks even
Baz Anderson - 17.08.2010 at 12:29
Interesting to know!

So how were Bal-Sagoth??

i didn't go on bal-Sagoth because i don't listen to them, all i can say Bleed From Within were at 10 o'clock in the morning and thy are amazing, dying fetus had also made a good show,...

it's a good experience, and for the next time i go, if i will go, i know what to expect. the good thing about Brutal Assault is low prices and some fucking brutalllll bands

I enjoyed it, almost missed them because of schedule changes but caught them with some dumb luck. Ihsahn was the highlight for me, also Gojira, Candlemass, Sigh, Devin Townsend, Macabre, Diablo Swing Orchestra, and Meshuggah.
Baz Anderson - 17.08.2010 at 16:01
Bal-Sagoth and Macabre were the two for me. Still never seen either.
draconia - 17.08.2010 at 19:12
This year was just a chaos concerning the line up changes. i almost missed Cannibal Corpse and Sepultura, also Necrophagist just because i spent more time on the camping area than on the festival ground. went to see only certain bands. this year was just a chaos concerning the changes.

but all in all, i'm bleased again.

Yeah it was choas, a complete clusterfuck. I missed Sepultura and showed up at the time they were supposed to be playing and saw Lock Up... I was so confused. I think the organizers were drunk the whole time...
