The festival that was made by TRUE local metal bands bringing the Thrash, Black and Death Metal genres together with the pure intent to resuscitate the Virginia metal scene. The entire event is being organized by all the bands involved, this is the first time which all these bands will be sharing the same stage and is sure to be an event to be remembered.

This is a festival FOR metal fans, BY metal fans, dedicated to bringing the Virginia metal scene to life!

For far too long, the local scene has been a version of The Real Housewives in Metal Bands in Northern Virginia. This area is starving for a real metal scene, and everyone knows it. This is a necessary event; this isn't a bunch of preening, label-spoilt bands being put on stage by energy drink companies and Jagermeister (as tasty as those both are!) - it's a real and true conclave of metal fans, every one of us, indulging in camaraderie and dark communion.

When you enter the Blood and Fire festival, you will see that the people on stage will also be the people in the crowd, banging their heads, throwing up horns, moshing and being totally brutal. This isn't an event where the people playing the instruments are to be worshiped and revered and treated differently; rather, in reverse, the bands are here to serve the metal public, to make metal more than simply something that resides on a CD, or something that passes fleetingly by for the price of $27.50 a ticket.
