i wish more people thought like you and bought their tickets in advance in Romania. it's a sad practice to leave the buying of the ticket to a few hours before the actual headlining band hits the stage in metal concerts or festivals here. in this case the promoters(and bands) run a huge risk not knowing if they'll have only people filling 25% of the hall or a full house, and sometimes it's because people just assume it will be cancelled and/or never have money for concerts, unlike for cigarettes.

Rock City Open Air 2 years ago was canceled in part due to this stupid practice, no-one actually thought it was going to take place and (at least on metalhead.ro) the forum was bombarded with "wiseguys" who said it wouldn't take place and SURPRISE SURPRISE MOTHERFUCKERS: it didn't take place in part because they sold a grand total of 820 tickets, of which one was mine, with an extremely kickass roster of bands:Amon Amarth, Exodus, Immortal, Blaze Bayley, Trooper and some others.
