Against The Plagues - Lineup Changes
Chicago-based extreme act Against The Plagues has parted ways with guitarist Marco Martell "due to his personal obligations" and replaced him with Aaron Covarrubias (ex-Ebonmortis, Unspoken Fear). However, his departure seems amicable and the group wishes "Marco nothing but the best with his future and thank him for all his hard work and tremendous contribution." 2014 will be a new chapter in the history of the band and Against The Plagues is already working on new music.

Against The Plagues - New Bassist Announced

Bassist Novy (ex-Behemoth/Vader, Road's End) will be officially teaming up with Chicago based, multinational extreme act Against The Plagues in support of their second full-length release. The band decided to part ways with previous guitarist Wojtek Lisicki and continuing work on new album as a 4 piece group including Varyen - drums(ex-Forest Of Impaled/Damnation), Marco Martell - guitars (Divine Empire), Novy - bass (ex-Behemoth/Vader, Road's End), Logan Perez - vocals (Vex).
Commented co-founder Varyen Chylinski: "I am proud to announce that one of the best bass player in death metal scene - Novy who previously worked with Behemoth and Vader is officially new member of Against The Plagues! He is great very experienced musician who used to play in several world class bands in the past and I am looking forward to work with him on our upcoming second album. We are very excited and full of energy like never before and I cannot wait to expose our new material to all our loyal followers! Against The Plagues - Begin Work On New Album

Chicago based multinational extreme-metal act Against The Plagues have begun working on new songs for their as-yet-untitled second album.
Drummer and band co-founder Varyen Chylinski commented: "I am very excited to announce that we are currently working with the songs for new album! We have 6 songs almost finished and another 2 in progress. Next month we will start recording them as a pre-production material and as soon as we have them ready we will expose some of them on our website. We are working with new music in our practice room in Chicago and as I see after several rehearsals, new songs are much more faster and extreme than the previous album Decoding The Mainframe. New Against The Plagues material has a lot of absolutely amazing riffs and "inhuman" blast beats which is completely new chapter for the band. All of our hard dying fans who were waiting for new music from our camp so long - will be delighted, I guarantee that! Also we decided to invite few special guests to make this material even more unique. It will be big surprise for all of you!
We will give you more updates very soon. I would like to thank you all for great support and fantastic feedback we received after releasing our last album. I can promise - it's going to be the best material we ever done!"

The clip was filmed in Miami with directors, Eduardo and Gregg Alvarez from Elephas Production. The song comes off the band's new album Decoding the Mainframe released in Europe on March 31st via Dutch label Vic Records. The album was mastered by Dan Swanö (Edge Of Sanity, Aeon, Dissection, Katatonia, Marduk).
Commented the band about the new video: "This is our first official video clip. It was filmed during the winter time in the Miami area. We chose the song "Great Are The Eyed" because we feel that it best represents the essence of our music (extreme, melodic, speedy, powerful riffs, etc.) During the filming, we chose 3 different locations and spent a few days to create this video; this included a great deal of involvement coming from Elephas Production directors Eduardo and Gregg and their their awesome crew. Our goal was to give the listeners bit more than what they have been used to as far as Against the Plagues goes. The video presents the band with our strongest line-up. But over all, we thought it would be fun to create simple and solid metal video that would acompany our album Decoding the Mainframe."

Against The Plagues - Line-Up Shifts
Against The Plagues have issued the following update:
"We would to clear the air and clarify all the rumors regarding our line-up changes. We had not yet posted any official statements regarding these changes because we had been busy with all our label-negotiations (re-mastering our self-released album) along with preparing for our upcoming video. Now, we feel that it is time to officially announce that our original guitarist Adrian Adamus (Forest Of Impaled) is no longer member of Against The Plagues. In short, Adrian had decided to part ways with the band (and extreme music) right now in order to focus on his personal/family life. We respect his decision and wish him the very best.
Now, we are extremely proud to announce that bassist Marco Martell (Malevolent Creation, Divine Empire, Kult of Azazel) is handling the guitarist position now and will be participating with the song writing process for the next album. Marco is an accomplished guitarist with the versatility, speed, and skill that the "ATP style" demands. We are very excited about the official release of our debut album along with the new material that we have planned. We would like to thank all the fans that continue to support our endeavors despite this harsh, economic state."

Against The Plagues - Ink Deal With Vic Records
Against The Plagues, the Swedish/Polish/North-American extreme-metal act (featuring members of Lost Horizon/Luciferion/Forest Of Impaled/Vex/Malevolent Creation) have recently signed with Dutch label, Vic Records. The new, official album Decoding the Mainframe will be released in March 2010.
Against the Plagues' co-founder Varyen Chylinsky states: "I am very excited to announce and confirm that we have signed with Vic Records. As a result of this cooperation, we have decided to release our official album, Decoding the Mainframe. This release will contain all 8 songs from our self-released CD Architecture of Oppression; however, these are completely new versions of the songs! All songs are re-mastered and mixed by one of the best producers in the metal world - Dan Swano (Edge Of Sanity, Aeon, Dissection, Katatonia, Marduk).
There is no doubt that the production is absolutely amazing! We decided to improve the sound with slightly-modified arrangements of the songs, along with mixing and mastering... For now, I would say - this is our first "official" product that sounds as a high quality world class album should sound! Of course we've added several new things to make this release a bit, more special. We've improved album cover and the whole, CD layout; plus we have added more new pictures of the band along with a few-other new, bonuses...
This new album will be arriving in stores this coming March. We have collaborated on a piece of work that we are all very proud of. With the help of Vic Records and Dan Swano, we have created a phenomenal album as it was orginally intended to be. "In the nearest future there will occur a mighty fusion between some members of Luciferion from Sweden and Forest Of Impaled from USA and (in a way) Damnation from Poland. This is going to result in a totally new formation. There is no band name yet nor a web site, but the recoding of the material is already in progress, partially in USA and partially in Sweden. Four songs are already finished and the promotional mix is sat on 28 of April 2005. Although, there is still NO vocalist established. So if You are the one then read the flyer advertisement below!
