Djent/progressive metallers Animals As Leaders are hard at work on the follow-up to 2014 The Joy Of Motion album. For the fans that are eager to know more about it, guitar master Tosin Abasi updated and shared a video online saying that this is their most collaborative effort to date. They are currently in the writing process for their new album.
Remember Animals As Leaders' glorious 2009 self-titled debut album? Well, but there is a song from it you haven't heard yet. It's called "Kalimba" and it has now been shared online. The track appears on the expanded "encore edition" of Animals As Leaders that Prosthetic Records just released. You can check out if you like it or not below. Of course, it features the trademark instrumental gymnastics of the progressive metallers.

Javier Reyes, part of the trio that makes up the US instrumental progressive outfit Animals As Leaders, has inked a deal with Sumerian Records for his project Mestis. This will see the release of a debut EP, Basal Ganglia, set to be released on November 27th, 2012. The EP is a five-track offering showcasing Reyes' vast musical diversity and features an intriguing variety of instrumentation performed by highly acclaimed musicians.
