09:39 - Jaeryd17 Are you kidding? I loved the ending to Mass Effect 3. I think everyone was just looking for a happy ending and threw a toddler-fit because they didn't get it. Also, Boxcar, have you played Fallout 1 or 2 yet?
06:45 - huascaman The EA sports NHL games are the best. \m/
06:29 - Unhealer Jaeryd17, agree Mass Effect is excellent. Also, I didn't mind the so-hated ending that much.
06:23 - BoxCar Willy I really only play Fallout. Ive beaten both at least 10 times, (new Vegas probably even more). They are just the best, they capture everything I love. They just need a metal soundtrack and dirtbikes. Lol.
06:20 - Jaeryd17 No best game series, I don't think... but Mass Effect comes incredibly close. Love me some Halo, Metroid, Zelda, Borderlands, Battlefield, and Elder Scrolls, though.
05:59 - psykometal I've done like dozens of playthroughs using the Oghma to level boost, to try out several different character builds (since there used to not be respec option), so I now I want to actually complete it, or come real close. :)

Dave Machander, touring drummer for Annihilator on Refresh the Demon Europe tour 1996, has sadly lost his battle with cancer. Annihilator mainman Jeff Waters released the following statement:
"A few weeks ago (while I was touring in Europe), I got word that we lost a former member of Annihilator's touring lineup, Dave Machander. He passed away from cancer.
Dave was a super nice guy. I met him under stressful circumstances. In 1996, we did a record called Refresh The Demon. Randy Black was our drummer then and I had bought everyone's plane tickets for our upcoming Refresh the Demon EUROPE tour 1996.
12 days BEFORE the tour weas supposed to start, I get a call from Randy telling me that, if I did not pay him dounle+ the money I was to pay him for the tour, that he would not come along and would join another Vancouver artist "Bif Naked" instead (as she apparently was offering more money). I told him that we could not afford this and that it is very, very wrong to hold us "hostage" like this. He ended up leaving for Bif Naked (which ended up lasting one tour and he was out anyway!) but, more importantly, Randy Black left us with NO DRUMMER, a cancelled flight that I did not get my money back for and a tour in 12 days!!!

Seeing our good friends in bands and crews from around the world was a bonus. Secondly, I need to thank Steve at XRAY Touring for taking Annihilator on. His support is giving us opportunities we've not seen before. Lastly, for all you Euro-metal fans, get ready! Canadian metallers Annihilator will release their new DVD, "Live At Masters Of Rock", on the following dates:
Germany, Austria, Switzerland: October 30
Europe, Australia: November 2
USA, Canada, Asia: TBA
The cover artwork comes from the band's set which was filmed and recorded on July 11, 2008 at the Masters Of Rock festival in Vizovice, Czech Republic.
A new press release reads as follows: "Prepare to experience Canada's Annihilator. Known as one of the premiere live metal acts for 3 decades now, Annihilator are captured live in the hot, Czech Republic summer of 2008. The band hits hard with mint, metal masterpieces, ranging from early metal classic records like "Alice In Hell", "Never", "Neverland" and "Set The World On Fire", to powerhouse records like "King Of The Kill", "Waking The Fury", "Carnival Diablos" and from 2007's acclaimed release "Metal". Performing live in front of 30,000 metalheads, this sold-out concert DVD is the purest example of why Annihilator are touted as one of the best metal bands of our time. Enjoy the metal."
"For many fans Annihilator was always the silent hero of thrash metal. They never got the same attention as Megadeth, Metallica or Slayer, but when musical critics predicted the end of thrash metal by the end of the 80's, they shut their mouths with one of the most intense thrash metal releases ever - "Alice In Hell". The album was a brilliant mixture of melody, power and aggression - everything a thrash metal band could ever wish for in their debut. Annihilator's next offering, "Never, Neverland", was proof that the debut was not made by accident - the album delivered the same amount of sheer thrash madness, backed by some extremely melodic riffs and solos. After these two releases the group continued their career with various line-up changes (eventually leaving guitarist Jeff Waters the only original member), but every album recorded after 1990 had a totally different vibe than the first two releases. Perhaps that was the reason why in 1996 Roadrunner Records decided to put out a live album covering the period from 1989 to 1990, by many fans considered Annihilator's strongest years. "In Command" brilliantly captures the band at the beginning of their musical voyage, when all that mattered was the joy of playing thrash metal and kicking some ass!
