Spanish extreme metallers Avulsed are ready to hit the studios next week to record their 6th full-length album entitled Ritual Zombi, which will be a conceptual work dealing with zombies. The album will contain 9 new songs plus a cover song of Death's "Zombie Ritual", as a tribute to the band that started it all for the real death metal sound. There will be also three instrumental songs (intro, interlude & outro), and this will be the first recording featuring new drummer Osckar Bravo.
Spanish brutal death metal act Avulsed has released this statement about parting ways with drummer Ricardo Mena: "We're sorry to communicate you that since last 20th of March, Ricardo Mena (Riky) is no longer the band's drummer. Due to differences on how to deal with different internal issues within the band, we've decided, after a reunion, that the best thing for both parts is not to continue together. No hard feelings, beyond the sadness that all this means for us all."
Avulsed are ready for their fourth European tour, this time alongside with Belgians Emeth and Italians Grimness 69. The tour will go through seven different countries and comes four years after their previous Euro-tour. Xtreem Music is proud to announce that has reached an agreement with Avulsed for the release of the band's long awaited 5th full-length album "Nullo (The Pleasure of Self-mutilation)", described by the own band as their heaviest, most intense and complete album ever! Featuring all the band's trademarks of brutal, catchy, intense and heavy Death Metal that have always been peforming during 18 years already!
Recordings for "Nullo" were finished in early May and the album is already in the pressing plant for an imminent release date in June 1st, including the mega-fucking gore artwork of Mike Hrubovcak (Grave, Monstrosity, Mortician, Cattle Decapitation...) and featuring the following songs:

Spanish death metallers AVULSED have inked a deal with Metal Age Productions.
According to an official press release, "after summer 2003 the band was pretty disappointed with AvantGarde's work and decided to break their contractual obligations with them and started to search for a new label. Four options were seriously considered (Crash, Blackend, Code666 & Metal Age) and after meticulously thinking about it, AVULSED decided to sign a deal with Slovakian label Metal Age Productions for the release of the band's fourth album. This decision might surprise everybody, since this label is the smallest one of the four considered, but at the same time it's the most involved one in the underground and has a vast experience with over 50 titles released so far and a growing and very promising future in front!!
