Death - Former Bassist Scott Clendenin Dies

Sad news to report as former Death's bassist Scott Clendenin has passed away. He was a bassist in the seminal death metallers for a few years and also played in Chuck Schuldiner's other band Control Denied. Scott Clendenin had some health challenges in the last few years. He played on Death's The Sound Of Perseverance album, and recently participated in two Death To All live runs, in 2012 and 2013, including the highlight of his acoustic guitar in a poignant rendition of "Voice Of The Soul". Our condolences to his family and friends.

Death Angel - Drummer Breaks Foot

Drummer Will Carroll gets the unlucky award of the day. The man behind the drum kit of thrashers Death Angel broke a bone in his right foot while he was taking out the trash. He will not be able to play drums for at least 3 weeks and so the band is forced to cancel their appearance at the Metal Against Cancer benefit on February 28th. They tried to arrange for a stand-in drummer, but with the lack of advance warning on the issue, they weren't able to make that work.
